Leaving Hoffnungsthal Valley, our route takes us beyond the town of Lyndoch, turning right to navigate alongside the western fringe of Barossa Valley. You would observe the expansive plains of the mid-north region coupled with neatly arranged vineyards, rolling landscapes and palm-lined roads leading to the historic Seppeltsfield Winery. As we travel towards Nuriootpa, your guide will indicate Maggie Beer’s farmstead and the renowned Penfold’s Winery before we fly low over Tanunda, offering views of the stately Chateau Tanunda and numerous old chapels. As we venture further southwards, you’ll get a glimpse of Jacob’s Winery, noted for its massive wine storage tanks, each with a capacity to hold 1.4 million litres of wine. Our route then takes us to the southern tip of the Barossa, over the town of Lyndoch, across the Barossa Goldfields and the Whispering Wall before finally heading back to our starting point in the Hoffnungsthal Valley.
