Great day with Olivier - We took an all day tour of the Beaujolais Region with Olivier along with five other guests. We visited Chessy and Perouges and two wineries. We also stopped for an excellent lunch. The leaves on on the vines had turned color but had not yet dropped and they made for an excellent backdrop for our pictures. Olivier showed us several vistas for pictures that we would never have found by ourselves. He also arranged for a vineyard tour by 10th generation owner of a family vineyard to explain how the grapes are grown and how the wine is made. Afterwards we went to his tasting room and Olivier led a tasting of the wines made at the winery (the second of the day). We also visited Chessy and Perouges which were different but both ancient and amazingly beautiful. Olivier explained the history and pointed out interesting details. It was a very good day.

Fantastic tour, definitely recommended - Fantastic trip, our guide was very attentive to our needs. He even adjusted some of the wines during our Wine tasting to accommodate a few members who preferred rouge instead of blanc or bubbly wines. We had a great time in Pérouges! It was great that we got there early so we had the town almost to ourselves. It started raining, but he was ready with umbrellas for us. He even dropped us close to the hotels and stations for an easier trip home.

3 tours and 3 great experiences with Kanpai tours - Let me just say that this is by far the best tour guide in Lyon. My wife and I did 3 tours with Olivier and he was phenomenal. Go directly to his website and pick the tour that you want or just contact him for a private tour. He's very flexible and easy going.

Enjoyable medieval towns and wine tasting - My husband and I did the Beaujolais and Perouges small group day tour with visits to the beautiful the Villagesof Perouges and Oingt and wine tasting in Beaujolais. The weather wasn’t good but our guide Sebastian was fantastic. He has great local and wine knowledge , easy to talk to and humorous. We had lunch at a local restaurant and had a local home cook lunch at a decent price. Our group get along well which makes the day really enjoyable. Thanks Sebastian!

Oliver is very professional and full of local knowledge and also very patient and thoughtful! He is one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had - he is down to earth and great to talk to. He made sure we could visit toilette’s everywhere which was great! The restaurant for lunch was a lovely experience and very delicious! Great tasting and also very reasonably priced. The other guests were great company and it was an all round lovely day!! (and of course Beaujolais wine is delicious!!) Highly recommended!!

A delightful day - We really enjoyed our day on this tour. It was a treat to ride through the beautiful countryside. Olivier gave us a wealth of information about the history and wine of the region. The visit to the winery was relaxed and pleasant with information about production, nice wines and the opportunity to see how sausages and cheeses complimented their flavors. The lunch stop was delicious and very reasonably priced. The villages we stopped at were lovely, "picture postcard" beautiful.

a pleasant day in Beaujolais - The view of the misty valley landscape from up on the hills was a beautiful spectacle. The golden stone villages on the route to the vineyard were unique. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Dominique Guillard's vineyard where we learned about his natural approach (lutte raisonnée) to viniculture and wine making where he doesn't add pesticides, fertilizer or water. His wine was delicious. Olivier was a friendly, knowledgeable guide who made our tour so enjoyable.
