We enjoyed! - We decided have a wine tour on our 4 days stay at Lyon. We didn’t have too much time so we looked for a half day tour. Oliveier was very nice from the first e-mail to the very end of our tour. His English is excellent and his knowledge and passion to wine is tremendous. It was nice to meet local winners and actually see the whole process of wine making.

Everyone will love this! - It was such a fun tour, nobody should miss it. Olivier took us to private vineyards where the owner himself talked to us about the entire process from planting the grapes, to drinking the wine. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I recommend it to everyone.

Excelent day trip to the Beaujolais wine region - The wine discovery tours offered by Kanpai Tours is an excelent opportunity to explore one of the most famous wine production regions of France. Mr. Olivier Delalande offers a varied menu of choices in a very comfortable way of moving around. We chose to do a day trip to the so-called "French Toscana", the Beaujolais region. We crossed smooth slopes enjoying beautiful views of vineyards, castles, small villages, while Mr. Olivier, with his multi-language ability (French, Spanish, English, Italian, German...) told us many tales about the region and the wine production. Included in this tour were two opportunities of wine tasting (we tasted 10 different types of wine, among them two "medaille d'or") and a delicious lunch in a typical restaurant. I would highly recommend this tour, in case you are passing by Lyon and region!

Great guide, great wine - This was a fabulous tour with Olivier Delalande who not only took us to the wineries but also showed us the wonderful landscapes. He was very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for him. I highly recommend this tour.

Highlight of our trip to Lyon - We were visiting Lyon with another couple and originally wanted to do a whole day tour but we left it to the last minute to book and the small group full day tours were full. We ended up joining the half day small group Beaujolais Golden Stones tour in the morning with Olivier taking just the four of us to Perouges in the afternoon. We especially loved the visit to Monsieur Blanc and his vineyard and enjoyed generous tastings. Olivier is an excellent tour guide and he was very prompt with all the last minute email communication. He manages to combine a high level of professionalism with the personal touch and we thoroughly enjoyed the day in this really lovely region of France.

Ok experience. Wish we visited more wineries. - The tour went through some beautiful small villages and the first tasting was at a village wine shop. We were all disappointed because we were expecting to be at wineries. The village was charming, but it’s quite a while before you get your first tasting and to just sit in the back room of a wine shop wasn’t a great experience. The winery visit was a little bit better, family farm in operation for centuries- with really cheap and affordable wines. However, our guide was not very engaging and the whole tour kind of felt like the minimum experience. It’s ok. I’m still glad we did it.
