Pleasant experience and discovery - Beautiful city with remarkable and diverse architectural, cultural and historical heritage, with high quality museums. Not to mention its excellent gastronomy, with a particular signature in the many stoppers (to be consumed without moderation)! We used the Lyon City Card offered by the Tourist Office very convenient to travel by public transport and access many museums.

Two days at the top - I spent two great days. I had taken the City card 24 hours and I optimized my visit. Museum confluence, bicycle, guided boat tour, museum of cinema and miniature, guided walking tour of old Lyon, funicular, visit of Fourvière... You have to prepare well in advance. But super convenient

A very useful card - It has many attractions and is also valid for using public transport. Be careful when you validate your card: from there we start at 24 h (or more depending on which you buy) and you should make a visit plan to optimize your spending. Another Recommendation: the Lyon tourist office is open from Monday to Friday, on other days you can take the card at the affiliated hotels, but you should inform beforehand to avoid wasting hours (or days) of activities.

Great value, great activities - The card gave us access to many different venues, our favorite being the Basilica of Notre Dame of Fourvière. The pass included all city transportation and funicular to the Basilica. The boat river cruise was also wonderful. Lots of museums visited and helpful staff at the tourism office.

Great idea in Lyon when short in time - The walking tour with the experienced guide (Christian) was the best part of my stay in Lyon. I’m grateful that Viator had this package because there’s so much to see and I didn’t know where to start. Viator always has great ideas. The bus passes and public transit map allowed us to visit so many sights. One thing to note, this can be bought directly from the Office of Tourism near Bellecourt. I don’t know if purchasing through here is any cheaper.

Unmatched customer service - I arrived at the tourism office close to 11AM, I believe. I was greeted as I entered by a friendly young woman who immediately directed me to her colleague to get my card. Mathieu R. has the patience of a saint. He was so pleasant & helpful. Good card but better to buy when you arrive - The card itself is great, including most of the sights we wanted to see and an excellent walking tour. However, the process to get the card was very frustrating and time consuming. We purchased the cards in advance and, having arrived at Part Dieu station with suitcases, went to the Part Dieu Westfield shopping centre to collect them as advised. However, we were told that they didn't have enough cards available so sent us on to the nearby Galerie Lafayette (it appeared that they had cards to purchase but not for those who had bought them in advance). The staff at Galerie Lafayette then sent us back to the Wesfield Centre as they did not provide cards for those who had purchased them in advance - they did have them available to purchase though. We were then told we would have to go to the Tourist Office at Bellecour, which was a metro ride away. Not ideal when part of the reason to get the cards was to include the cost of transport in the city and we had to drag our suitcases round all these locations. We then had a considerable wait at the Tourist Office before we were able to get the cards. I would therefore recommend that if you arrive by train, do not buy the cards in advance as it is quicker and easier just to buy them at Part Dieu when you arrive and also your transport from the station will then be included.
