Elisabeth is a gem - Our food tour with Elisabetta was wonderful. She was so knowledgeable about the foods, culture and customs of Lyon. Great food and drink. It was one of friends birthday and Elisabetta made sure she was treated special . Thank you Viator and Elisabetta.

Great overview of Lyon’s best - Huda was an excellent guide. She interspersed the good tour with history info. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. She was thorough in explaining what we were eating. And was helpful giving us tips too for beyond the tour.

Lyon Food Tour - We were very lucky to have Tone as our tour guide. I’ve been on several food tours and in my opinion he did the best job explaining how Lyon became the gastronomical capital of France, and gave us stories at each place we stopped. We were able to sit down and enjoy our food and drinks at each spot which was a plus, and meet the people who are working at these food places. Everybody in our group had a great time and we’ll do this again if we’re in Lyon!

Tone is the man! - There were 7 of us that went on the Lyon evening food tour. Tone’ was our tour guide and he was amazing. He gave us a lot of interesting information and helped us out with places to go and things to see in Lyon. Would highly recommend!!

Amazing Food and history - Our Tour Guide Tone (pronounced Tony) was absolutely wonderful. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the food and the culture which is exactly what we were looking to immerse ourselves with!
The tour came with a cheese, and entree, a plat, a desert and a digestive. Plus wine was included. All of which was not clear in the listing on Viator's website, however, we assumed that the food was included. The wine was an added bonus.
It was great to learn about the origins of the food in Lyon and how Lyon became such a gastronomic important city.

Lyonaise Food Experience in Vieux Lyon - Huda is knowledgeable and passionate about everything Lyonaise. She provided great insight to the history of food in Lyon. We visited a lovely cheese shop for a wine and cheese pairing detailed by the cheese maker, all delicious. A charcuterie experience with bread and wine in a shop made famous by its sweet syrup. Also visited an original and famous bouchon where we experienced a quenelle made with a lobster sauce. Ended in a passageway bar for a chartreuse tasting.
A great evening walk around Vieux Lyon along with learning the history of some famous Lyonaise food.

Highly recommend - We had a fabulous evening with Hoda, meeting many shop owners and tasting delicious local foods, from cheese to sausage and quenelle de brochet. We learned all about the history of the old town and got a great introduction to the city. I highly recommend!
