WHAT’S ON THE MENU:

Food and history - We had a wonderful time on this tour! Our guide, Yann, was very friendly, energetic, funny, and knowledgeable.
We ate delicious food and whilst we didn't walk far, we learned much about the area, it's history and relationships to the dishes and produce we ate.
My husband is vegetarian, and even though the first stop was for sausage, they gave him an extra plate of (very delicious) cheeses so he could still enjoy his experience.
Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend this tour to people visiting Lyon, especially for the first time.

Fun and fabulous food tour - Our group really enjoyed this food tour! Lots of food and wine. The guide was so kind, and learned so much about Old Lyon. The perfect Amount of walking. highly recommend.

Brilliant. Scrumptious. Entertaining - Very passionate host who loves Lyon. Introduced us to three local merchants of wine cheese and ice cream who are creating the new lyon whilst respecting their heritage of old. All persons who joined the tour were also pleasant with an interest in food wine and history.

Eric is passionate about food and history and gave us a wonderful tour - The food was wonderful and the stories and history behind it fascinating. Eric took us through the tunnels and alley ways of the old town. I have done a lot of food tours and this one was exceptional.

Highly recommend food tour - Punctual and pleasant tour guide! Maud was sweet, engaging, informative, and a delight to listen to for 3 hours. Friendly and accommodating shop owners/hosts and our small group of 10 people was a fun bunch! Totally worthwhile tour, highly recommended.

Great for food and drink exposure in old town Lyon! - Great experience with local foods, wines and coffee! Loved the chocolate at Bruno Saladino, cheeses from Fromagerie Saint Jean and cured meats from Le Sirop de la Rue the most! Our English-speaking guide was very knowledgeable and answered many questions for the group. I gave this experience 4 stars instead of 5 as it was cold and rainy the whole time and the guide wanted to share details about the 2 famous churches in Lyon - and he was the only one with an umbrella. It would have been nice for him to have some social awareness on this and share these details inside our next stop or skip them during the rain - it was a food tour after all. One other thing, we were able to see a beautiful silk shop and go in the back room to learn the historical significance of silk to the Lyon people while viewing medieval silk looms - it would have been nice to have a few minutes to shop and support this store upon conclusion of our unique history lesson.
