Created by the Buhler brothers in the 19th century, Parc de la Tête d’Or is the largest urban park in France. At the center of the 15-hectare lake, the Island of Memories can be reached through an underpass. The greenhouses house a collection of exotic and carnivorous plants, as well as seed reserves to prepare for climate change. The park also features a monument commemorating the 1996 G7, a zoological park, and three rose gardens, as the first hybrid rose originated here.
