Magical experience making a Tarte aux Pralines Rose in Lyon - My husband and I came for this pastry class during our week long stay in Lyon. It was one of of the best experiences we had in Lyon. We learned how easy it was to make a Tarte aux Prailnes rose de Lyon in a step by step process. The end product was amazing and to learn from a top pastry check in Lyon was a magical experience. We learned the difference between French four and sugar compared to American flour and sugar. We received the recipe via email and look forward to trying to replicate the making of the tart here in California.

Generous with the champagne!!! - It was fun and exciting to learn several techniques and ideas for making pastries that I will apply in my own kitchen. Great instructor! Loved applying the gold leaf to my Lyon Tart. Lovely presentation and packaging on our finished products.

Highlight! - This was a highlight of my stay in Lyón. I only wish I had done it earlier. Fun atmosphere, great people to chat with, no need to have a group to book with—I had a wonderful time solo!

The best!! - Absolutely delightful experience! Chef Terry taught us how to make Praulines, a specialty of Lyon. Definitely a hand on time resulting in us having made prauline nuts, cookies and a delicious tort. Wine was available if you wanted. I would highly recommend this excursion!

Don't hesitate, just book it. - Following very clear instructions to find the place you are given a glass of bubbles on arrival, great way to meet your budding classmates and get started. With hands washed and apron on we get started at a cracking pace, flour and sugar flying out of our bowls as we make our pastry. Chef teaches in a relaxed and fun manner throughout giving you the tricks of the trade and confidence that you are making the best pastry ever. The class goes fast and before you know it you are walking proudly out the door leaving with your baked goods boxed beautifully. Note to potential participants, ensure your boxed goods say upright on the way home, otherwise your tart presentation may not look as good when you get home as when your walked out the door!

Unsatisfied with Pink praline - Disappointing workshop, despite the great location and friendly chef. I was unsatisfied with the chosen dish we prepared: pink praline, candied almonds, and cookies. It wasn't worth the high price paid, and I didn't learn much about French pastry.
