A great day in Beaujolais! - We had such a beautiful day and experience in Beaujolais. Our guide (Rachel) was very informative from the start of our journey, filling us in on the history of the region, the varietals, terroirs and what to expect. The first stop was a very old estate that had a comprehensive and fun walking experience of the tasting components of wine. This was followed by a tasting of various wines and learning about each. They actually had wines from several villages to try and compare. The next stop was a beautiful hilltop estate in Fleurie and we got to learn about the different stages of their winemaking process unique to Beaujolais. This was followed by another great tasting.
The trip was well planned and timed, but our guide really added to the experience with her knowledge and excitement about the region. Just an overall great time.

A fun afternoon - Our guide was very personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed learning about the elements involved in the aroma, taste and feel of wine and the stories behind the wines that we sampled as well as the wines themselves. The scenery was beautiful and the trip went smoothly from start to finish. We enjoyed the chance to meet fellow travelers from different places and backgrounds. We had fun and would recommend this tour to anyone.

Great wine tour - Raphael was our guide and she was great. She was very knowledgeable and organised.
We stopped at 2 wineries and they were both good.
We left on time and got back on time.

Beaujolais Bon! - Our guide, Clemence, was wonderful. Extremely knowledgeable as to the wines, the terrior(sp?) and the history of the area. Do recommend this tour.

Wonderful experience - Such a great experience. The two venues were very different from one another which I appreciated. The wine was great and our guide was very informational. The others on the group were great and fun company.

Excellent short wine country tour - Excellent short tour into the French countryside north of Lyon. Pleasant visits to two well established wineries. Yann was great guide and source of useful information.

9 people Cramped in a Car and Poor Wine ! - We booked the “Tasty Lyon” Beaujolais wine tasting tour with the Viator tour company. We drove almost an hour to the first winery cramped in a car with 9 people shoulder to shoulder. Once we got to the winery, we did the tour on our own. We were told us to go downstairs and we could take a wine “test” to learn about the wines. It was cumbersome so we went upstairs and did the do it yourself wine dispenser tastings. We liked only one or two of the Beaujolais wines. We could have gone to this winery on our own and did not need the tour guide.
The best part of the winery was the beautiful gardens. Next we went to a smaller winery and sat around a table and tasted several wines and all of them were not good.
The tour guide was new to the wine tasting tour and spoke to a few people but not much to the group.
This was a very disappointing tour and would not recommend it.

Can’t say it’s value for money - Visit to the cellar was the most memorable part of the wine tasting trip.
The wine tasting experience to the beaujolais vineyard could have been better had their expert accompanied us during the tutorial session.
