Join us for a captivating journey with a horse-drawn carriage ride in the quaint village of Lazaresti, taking you through the untamed expanses of Volcano Land and close to the serene Lake Saint Anne. On this voyage, we’ll cover an approximately 16 km round trip, following the trailed paths of the wild boars and bears. We’ll reach the mountain’s peak, revealing the mesmerizing vistas of the Ciuc Basin.
We will sample refreshing mineral waters, observe animal tracks, and then indulge in a traditional picnic amidst nature, filled with samples of locally sourced delicacies such as brandy, bacon, cheese, and more.
As we return, we’ll stop by the quaint Nyír bath, where you’ll have the opportunity to marvel at the ongoing post-volcanic activity of carbonated mineral waters, therapeutic mud, and curative gases. The trip has a duration of 4-5 hours.
Optionally, we may make a visit to a Wildlife Observatory (we’ll use an off-road vehicle or horse-drawn carriage to get to the hide, depending on weather conditions). From here, bears can be viewed and photographed in their natural surroundings through expansive, one-way glass. Rest assured, the hide is completely safe.
- For the Extended tour with the wildlife observatory included, it is recommended to wear hiking clothes suited for the season and dark outwear on top to raise the effect of the one-way glass. It is also recommended to bring an umbrella or rain coat in case of raining. Use of intensive perfumes should be avoided
- Eating is forbidden in the hides, but it is recommended to bring water.
