This was a path once used by local people to travel between these two locations that offers breathtaking views of the north coast of the island and with an adventurous coastal path above the sea.

Here, you’ll be greeted with vistas of the Atlantic Ocean, Ponta de São Lourenço, and Penha d’Aguia. The journey continues on a narrow coastal path, offering unique sights of Madeira’s endemic flora. The hike ends in Porto da Cruz, where you can explore the traditional sugar cane mill, learning about the production of “aguardente” brandy and honey cane, essential to Madeira’s culinary heritage.
