Highlights
  • St. George’s Church - Start your day trip with a pickup from your Amman hotel and meet your private driver for the day who is knowledgeable about the area and its history, and is able to point out sites of interest along the way. The first stop will be at Madaba city, known as the ‘City of Mosaics,’ Madaba owes its popularity to a lavish mosaic map of the Holy Land that covers the floor of St George’s Church. Head inside the church to see it, and learn about its history as well as the town’s other ancient biblical sites from a local guide. - St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church - The St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Madaba, Jordan, is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered! While not as widely known as some of the city’s iconic sites like the Church of St. George, this charming church offers a unique blend of history, religious significance, and architectural beauty Historical Gem: Built in the 19th century, the church stands as a testament to Jordan’s rich Christian heritage. Its elegant stone façade and stained glass windows whisper stories of devotion & faith across generations. Architectural Intrigue: The church’s design blends Western & Eastern influences, showcasing a graceful mixture of Romanesque and Byzantine architectural styles. Take in the delicate arches, the intricate detailing around the entrance, & the peaceful courtyard adorned with greenery Religious Significance: Dedicated to St. John the Baptist, a pivotal figure in both Christianity & Islam, the church offers a space for quiet contemplation and prayer for visitors of all faiths - Mount Nebo - Continue to Mount Nebo, the hill where the prophet Moses was said to have been granted a view of the Promised Land before he died. Admire views of Jordan Valley, see the ancient lands of Judah and Jericho, and head inside the Franciscan monastery, which is built on the site of Mount Nebo’s ancient church, to see relics and mosaics. - Dead Sea - After a buffet lunch at the Dead Sea Hotel (included in the price), have a chance to relax. There are few places better to do so than at the lowest point on Earth: the Dead Sea. Considered one of the world’s true natural wonders, the impressive body of water is fed by a collection of incoming rivers that gush to its land-locked shores. The waters are unable to flow elsewhere, so they evaporate and leave behind a rich concentration of natural salt that attributes to the Dead Sea’s famous buoyancy. Relax at one of the beaches, or upgrade and spend your free time at the Dead Sea tourist beach rest house. Bob around in the Dead Sea’s salty water, perhaps reading a newspaper as you recline on the surface. How you spend your time at either site is up to you; just remember to bring your bathing suit, a towel, and sunscreen. Then, relax during the return trip to Amman.

Excellent day trip from Amman - Incredible tour. Getting to stand where Moses stood was so uplifting. It's really inspiring, even if you aren't particularly religious. Mr. Mint was an excellent driver and guide, he did a great job explaining everything. Highly recommend this tour and his service.

Dead Sea highlight the others were good too - Hosam with R&H was a great driver. He also shared some info along the way. The best part was of course the Dead Sea but the walk under the St John’s church was pretty cool and the bell tower The Dead Sea is a different experience and the food provided by the Crowne plaza was good. It is a buffet and the facilities there are spot on and they even have the mud that you can put on urself Had a great time

Madaba & Dead Sea - Yones was our driver again for this tour and his service was exceptional. He was well prepared for the trip with additional insight, facts and the history of the locations. Madaba the mosaic city is breathtaking. The superior craftsmanship is amazing. The drive to the Dead Sea was amazing as you are able to see the transitioning landscapes. Along with the historic points which Yones added it made for a great trip. The Dead Sea experience was overall great.

Highly enjoyable trip - Mahmoud our driver looked after us excellently from start to finish, sorting out all our tickets and showing us where to go at each venue. We had an unexpected bonus stop en route to learn how mosaics are made and another to photograph some camels by the roadside. Floating in the Dead Sea was a surreal and enjoyable experience and the lunch buffet was high quality, especially the puddings and sweets.

A day to remember in Western Jordan! - The day spent in Madaba, Mount Nebo and the Dead Sea was one of sheer appreciation for the local art of mosaic making, one of humbleness and one of laughter as we covered ourselves in mud in the dead sea. The tour is an excellent one and includes visits to some of the most remarkable parts of Jordan! The buffet lunch and time spent in the Dead Sea was also incredible. Thank you to our awesome guide, Mr. Mint, who took care of us so well during the trip!

Overpriced, would like to discuss a refund - Unfortunately this expensive tour did not deliver. The whole tour lasted 2 hours only, including journey time. From the details given I expected to see Mount Nebo, but the deliver only pointed it from a distance. Also the 'trip to the dead sea' was only a rushed 30 minutes visit to a hotel. We did not get spend anywhere near enough time. To pay £100 for 2 hours of rushed driving is a rip off. We were told by the locals we could have spent a whole day trip to the dead sea for a third of the price. Very disappointed, and would like to discuss a refund.
