Winds of Change at the Dead Sea
As the afternoon sun casts its golden glow, the journey leads you to the Dead Sea, the earth’s lowest point and a natural spa. The Dead Sea’s therapeutic properties are well-documented, and as you bask in the sun, you can feel the stresses of daily life melt away. The tour includes access to the Dead Sea Spa Hotel, where you can enjoy the facilities and perhaps indulge in a mud bath, known for its skin-nourishing benefits.

A Spiritual Journey to the Baptism Site
On January 26th, as the weather shifts to cooler and windier conditions, the Baptism Site Tour offers a spiritual journey like no other. Available from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, this tour takes you to the sacred site where John the Baptist is believed to have baptized Jesus. The journey begins in Madaba, where you can explore the Archaeological Museum and the St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, each offering a unique glimpse into the region’s spiritual heritage.
As you arrive at the Baptism Site, the air is filled with a sense of reverence and history. The site, with its serene surroundings and historical significance, invites you to reflect on the spiritual journeys that have taken place here over the centuries. The tour concludes with a return to Amman, leaving you with a sense of peace and a deeper connection to the spiritual heart of Jordan.
“Madaba mosaics, lovely Mt Nebo & memorable Baptism site - Madaba is a pretty & walkable little town. Whilst the mosaic map in St George’s church was impressive, there were quite a lot of people in the small church. Mt. Nebo was an absolute highlight. The baptism site was incredibly hot and the flies were a menace! It was like in 2 parts: steps leading to the small puddle of water where the tour guide said those who had arranged to could dip their crosses and then a walk to the River Jordan itself.” - Reviewed on 2022-06-08
