The profound flamenco jondo (with ‘jondo’ meaning deep) fuses, in an unprecedented melting pot, five distinct musical heritages: the indigenous Andalusian tunes, the melodies introduced by the gypsies (who migrated from India to the southern part of Spain around 1400), the harmonies of the Arab world (who were present since the year 700), as well as the musical elements of the Jewish and Castilian cultures. It’s a genre that resonates with the universal human spirit.

Very talented team - Amazing experience. They received us with sangria, down in the cave there was a nice cozy area. We enjoyed their talent and mix of sounds. Remarkable

Intimate flamenco experience - Essential Flamenco was a wonderful experience from the welcome with a very generous glass of Sangria to the final performance.
The setting was very intimate, and dancing was interspersed with cello and guitar solos of concert quality.
Well worth the price!

Intense show, beautiful beautiful - Intense performance, very intimate and exciting. The beautiful and very expressive dancer, as well as the dancer. We went to the show at 4.30pm, paying something less than the evening ones. We were offered a soft drink and some savoury snacks. We relied on the choice of reviews and we were satisfied, so I also use this platform to direct you. I do not recommend to those who have small and lively children the show, there is absolute silence during the performance.

Must see this intimate Flamenco show when in Madrid! - All the performers were great. The setting is very up close and personal. The acoustics were amazing. You get a huge glass of Sangria and a great Flamenco performance!

Skillful and entertaining - The woman flamenco dancer was exceptional. The guitarists were very good. Overall the experience was worth the time and money.

Just ok - It was nice but in a hot basement which was very small. Also while they explained the origins, it would have been nice to learn more about the meaning of the dance movements.

Beware ! Only one girl dancing .. unlike what is shown outside venue - Very dissatisfied. Outside venue they show 3 girls dancing all on stage together . The reality is only 1 girl who does not even get changed . Random solo instrumentals to fill in spaces . Venue is nice . But don’t waste your money . I have done several flamingo shows and this one didn’t even come close .

A shame to represent flamenco in such a bad light - Terribly disappointing in comparison to others I have seen . Just a few dances with only 1 lady 2 man . Costume basic , definitely no spectacular . No explanation of dances or songs . Just in out .. pay a little more and go to somewhere that is better value
