Highlights
  • Essential Flamenco - Our aim is to restore the closeness that was at the heart of genuine flamenco. Spectators were once tightly packed around the stage, encircled by just three rows of seating. No tables, no dining, no interruptions. Just unadulterated flamenco. The profound flamenco jondo (with ‘jondo’ meaning deep) fuses, in an unprecedented melting pot, five distinct musical heritages: the indigenous Andalusian tunes, the melodies introduced by the gypsies (who migrated from India to the southern part of Spain around 1400), the harmonies of the Arab world (who were present since the year 700), as well as the musical elements of the Jewish and Castilian cultures. It’s a genre that resonates with the universal human spirit.

Great show! - Enjoyed the intimate experience. Literally could feel the passion! Keeping us engaged the whole time. I had heard that dinner shows weren’t the best food and not worth the higher ticket prices. So we opted for dinner nearby and enjoyed the reduced price for just the show. It was perfect! And the bonus was great nightlife right up the street following the inspirational Flamenco.

A truly beautiful and unique cultural experience! A highlight for sure. - This was a truly amazing experience. Such passion and emotion poured out in the dance. The performers were so talented and so full of emotion. From the first moment we arrived, the people who greeted us and served our drinks were so welcoming. We enjoyed the whole experience and would highly recommend this traditional cultural experience.

Authentic, intimate flamenco experience - Loved it…..really small, intimate setting (~50 people) downstairs in the cellar. Super slick organisation, free drink on arrival upstairs and then down to watch the show - these guys really achieve their goal of original, acoustic flamenco! Highly recommended 5*

The one good flamenco show still playing in 2024 - Ive seen 3 different flamenco shows in the past 2 weeks and both in Barcelona and in Madrid, and this specific show was the best of them all. It’s not a modern setting for a show but rather an actual flamenco tablao (show room for flamenco), as it should be. The singers didn’t overpower the music like in the other shows I saw also. And the guitarist was incredible.

Beware at all costs! - The Sangria was good. On every other count: 100% do not recommend this profoundly terrible experience. They brag about only 3 rows of seats giving a great view. But fail to mention they are uncomfortably jammed together in a small brick “authentic” cave. With nowhere to put drinks so I had to juggle my glass the whole time. Worst part: Stage was a tiny semicircle—estimated 15 feet wide & 10 front to back at largest point. Available space was further shrunk by a row of chairs across the back. So the 2 dancers —whose footwork was good—could barely move. When they were on stage, which wasn’t much. Max 30 minutes of hour show. Started with a historical explanation, which was interesting. But huge amount of time was spent in long mediocre solos by each instrumentalist & 1 singer. Was looking forward to flamenco as a highlight of Madrid trip & it was a total disappointment. There are a zillion other shows in town. Do not waste precious time & basically stolen money on this one.
