Informative. Helpful. Would recommend. - My tour was great! It was a bit difficult to find exactly where we needed to be, but our guide saw that we were looking around and reached out to confirm we were supposed to be on the tour. Our guide at the Reina Sofia museum provided a lot of context and insight on the art. I had a different guide at the Prado Museum who also provided a lot of helpful context on the artwork. Both guides were very personable.

A must do for art lovers! - Great tour. I wish I remembered the guide's name, but I believe it was Julio. He had a tattoo on his right hand. Anyway, so much passion and enthusiasm from him that he really brought the museums to life. It would be impossible to do these three museums in one day on your own. Saw the highlights and were thoroughly satisfied. You won't be disappointed!

Great guide - I’m sure this tour depends on the competency and demeanor of your guide, and ours (Tamara) was excellent: knowledgeable, personable, and obviously passionate about art history. I’m not, and she made our time so enjoyable and well spent!

Only El Prado - Please note that this review is being provided only considering the visit to El Prado Museum as the tour operator canceled the other two museums the day prior to the visit without a specific reason. . This was extremely disappointing as the only reason I had booked this activity was because it covered a guided tour of all three museums. Having said that, the tour operator offered a compensatory free alternate tour which was nice but not what I really had wanted to do . Also the original tour cost was not cheap so Iam waiting for Viator to actually back their original advertisement of this tour and provide a partial refund of the original cost. All of that aside, the tour of the Prado Museum was good. Our tour guide Laura,,provided extensive explanation and coverage of the main art pieces that could be covered in 1 1/2hours. This museum has an extensive collection that cannot be covered in that time so make plans to stay a bit longer if you want to see more. I did enjoy the tour with a guide as,otherwise, you miss out on the background history of both the painter and what’s behind the specific artwork.

Very nice intro to Madrid’s art museums - This tour was a comprehensive introduction to the history of art in Madrid, and our guide was sweet and passionate. Be prepared to walk and stand. A lot!! If you have plenty of time in Madrid, and art is a passion for you, I would recommend visiting these museums on separate days. Because the tour covers so much in so little time, I had to pass by pieces that I would have liked to explore further, and there were hundreds we didn’t even get to glance at. Alas, I only had one full day in Madrid, so this tour at least allowed me to see more than I otherwise would have. The lunch was lovely, but we were only lucky to end up being seated; when we first arrived, there was standing room only. I will say that my entire tour group was exhausted by midway through the Reina Sofia, the last of the three museums we visited. I do think there would have been more time to view more pieces, or the tour could cover the same material in a much shorter time if it were in one language only. It was tough to stand around while the information was relayed in Spanish, and then stand while it was explained again in English. I do understand that logistically, this may not be possible. I loved that we were allowed to take photographs in two of the 3 museums, as this allowed me to make note of a few paintings we didn’t discuss, but about which I wanted to know more. In the end, I would especially recommend this tour if your time in Madrid is short and you love art and art history.

Museums Great - We booked on line prior to our trip for the tour on Friday, 7 June 2019. Unfortunately we missed the first museum as we were at the wrong meeting place - we were across the street from the Prado instead of on the side street, behind the statue of Goya. Once in the correct spot, the blond lady in the booth graciously phoned the company a couple of times for us to ensure they would pick us up when they came out of the Prado which they did. We then went with the small group to the Thyssen, stopped along the way to the Sofia for a drink and tapas. We received our entry tickets for the Prado from the guide and we went back after the official tour was over. The museums were great but the guide was not very friendly. She spent most of her time texting, emailing and talking on her phone - she wasn't at all interested in us. She was knowledgeable about art once inside the museums but you could tell she could hardly wait until the work day was finished for her. After reading the reviews from others who had taken this tour, I was surprised to get a guide that hardly interacted with any of us in the group - she definitely didn't exhibit Spanish enthusiasm or was as friendly and helpful as the guides in the other reviews. When we arrived at the Sofia, we found she had been busy organizing another group to meet us at the Sofia to join our group - maybe that is why she was constantly on her phone.

Disorganized mess with 2 tour guides - Ok so let me start out by saying these 2 museums are wonderful. Both of our guides Lisa for the Reina was a good knowledgeable guide. This was the first tour we took. Started at 10 am. By 12:10 common sense told me we should be heading to the prado? I spoke to our tour guide and she said, yes it starts at 12:30 that tour and had no knowledge that we were even booked for the tour. I blame the tour company. Totally Ridiculous . My husband asked Lisa our guide is she could take us to the prado which she agreed to, but was clearly not happy. We were running to meet Miguel who gave us a wonderful tour of the Prado! He truly saved the day for us. I am disappointed by the disorganization of this tour company. We are visiting the city as tourists counting on the tour company to give us knowledge. The tour itself deserves 5* but the tour company really needs to do better

Terrible waste of money - The meeting ping information was incorrect. Different information shown on different documents. I went everywhere and never found the guide. Also the guide did not contact me as I see guides do on your other tours. Finally there was no response from the support chat function, overall very disappointed service.
