Magnificent Monastery in Spain - An excellent tour. The only disappointment was not being able to get inside the basilica because it was Sunday and services were going on. Keep this in mind when booking tours. The guide did take us to other areas of the monastery to make up for this. Perhaps we could have had just a peek inside at the end of our visit.

Must see places to visit from Madrid - It was such a lovely tour out of Madrid. Comfortable air-conditioned and clean big bus. Cristina the tour guide was amazing, accomodating and knowledgeable and well versed with the history, arts and paintings.

Trip to monastery - We enjoyed the clear explanation from our guide Maria. She took time to answer questions, too. Jose was a great driver. The bus was comfortable.

Pretty Tough Access - Our primary enjoyment was our guide, Maria. She was friendly and courteous, and most of all - helpful. The sites themselves were a little disappointing. They were hard to access, due to unevenly worn paving stones; a LOT of tough walking!! The blurb says “not wheelchair accessible” and that’s very true

Wonderful, informative, beautiful, sombre & reflective - Maria was fantastic - she was informative & funny, she provided information on the bus and at the monastery & basilica. It would have been difficult to do this trip on my own - very thankful!

Excellent tour of these monuments - This tour is a great way to see El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen. Our tour guide Christina provided a great background on both monuments on the way to them, and then excellent explanation of the import and meaning as we toured through them. The timing was perfect so you never felt rushed, but the time was well spent.

The tour was perfect. Everything was on time. We had 30 min to eat something at the end of the Escorial Palace - I visited The Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen. Both beautiful. They are very big. I could see a wedding at the Valley of the Fallen
