Great Experience - Fantastic tour. Our tour guide, David, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of both the Royal Palace and the artwork inside the Prado Museum. He was engaging and provided great information throughout the tour. Highly recommend the tour and David as a tour guide

Skip the lines? Absolutely!! - I found the tour informative and the guide polite and knowledgeable. The line for both the Prado and the Palace were quite long. Skipping ahead was nice considering the heat everyone was waiting in.

Madrid with Carmen! - What a wonderful tour. At first I was worried since it was a such a long tour that we might get tired out. Fortunately Carmen made it so interesting that the time flew by. She answered everyone’s questions and we learned so much history from her. She even gave us a nice break with coco and churros. I would highly recommend this tour along with Carmen. She was awesome.

David is the Best! - David was an excellent guide. His English was great and he was just a personable young man who answered all our questions. He had a great knowledge base. His descriptions in the Prado were the highlight, and you could tell that he has a great passion for art history, but he also made it accessible to people with less knowledge like me. Great job, David!

Fantastic tour! - We loved the tour and Maria was a fantastic guide! We were first in line to enter the palace so enjoyed having less people there. The palace was beautiful and Maria did an excellent job of explaining the purposes of each room! We had a nice break in the middle and enjoyed churros and chocolate. The walk to the Prado Museum was nice. Maria walked us through the Prado Museum for about 1 1/2 hrs to highlight some of the most popular paintings and artists. When the tour ended, we could stay in the Museum to see the rest. We highly recommend this tour as long as you are able to walk around for 5 hours.

This tour is perfect if you have limited time in Madrid. - Everything I read recommended the Royal Palace and Prada Museum as a must-see for visitors to Madrid. Based on past experience, I’ve come to appreciate a guided tour to make sure I see the most important things and maximize my time. When I saw that this tour had churros and chocolate in the middle, I was sold! Our tour guide, Lola, was running a little late to the meet-up so she had a colleague meet us there. The transition was fairly seamless, but it did take her a bit to fall into her rhythm. Once she did, we saw a lot in a very short amount of time, and Lola was very knowledgeable about the subject matter. Her sense of humor began to shine through as the tour went on. A word to the wary - the tour description does come with some caveats for mobility and for good reason. This tour requires a fair amount of walking and covers a lot of ground. Most people would do the palace in one day and the museum in another. This combined tour requires perseverance, but it is certainly worth the effort, and the churros and chocolate make for a perfect snack break in between.

Good tour but too long - We were guided by Carlos. He did a great job. The tour itself is too long - we would do the Royal Palace in the a.m. and Prada in the afternoon.

There’s good and bad and then there’s churros - I booked with walks because I read so many great reviews. PRO: skip the line and immediate access! Made it worth the cost. Con: I know that being a tour guide has to be tough to keep people engaged and entertained; however, our guide seemed to be oblivious to how bored the group became with his droning on and on.
