Highlights
- Plaza de la Villa - In the 12th century Madrid was just a village. Our adventure will start at its main square, where the old City Hall is.
- La Latina - The whole tour takes place in La Latina neighborhood. Madrid oldest and most atmospheric quarter.
- La Latina - Bar 1: It is one of the oldest restaurants in Madrid. A must if you want to taste the best vermut on tap I know. They have a long menu with countless tapas. We will taste their best 2.
- La Latina - Bar 2: It is the most beautiful tavern in the number1# food&wine street in Madrid, Cava Baja. Brace yourself for an outstanding white wine and a type of tapas called: “tostas”.

La Latina - Bar 3: Tucked away in a pedestrian area only locals know. We will cook Spanish beef on red hot ceramic plates with different types of peppers and potatoes. I ll take advantage of the opportunity to open outstanding red wines from my own cellar.
We will finish the night with one of the top pairings in Spain: raisins wine (Pedro Ximenez) with vanilla & macadamia ice cream.

Accompany a representative from the Spanish Wine Tasting Association on a culinary and wine exploration of La Latina, Madrid’s most ancient and charismatic district. We’ll drop in at the top three wine bars to sample their exceptional offerings, complemented by Spanish wines. I’ll uncork bottles from my personal collection at our final gastronomic stop.

Definitely recommended if you want to explore deeper into old town Madrid - Andrés was very knowledgeable about the history of old town Madrid, as well as the hidden restaurants and bars with so much story. All of the food we ate and wine we drank were amazing!

What a wonderful experience! - We had a fabulous night wandering Madrid with Andres. He took us to several restaurants where we tried some wonderful wines and tapas. He did not rush us and spent time talking about the history, culture and food of Madrid and Spain. This was the perfect way to kick off our first day in Madrid.

A very good experience - I was on my solo trip in May. Andres is a very good organiser, and he made it a really fun and informative dinner night. The choices of food and wine were great. I was so impressed by his knowledge and would highly recommend this trip!

A great introduction to Madrid with great tapas & wine - Andres, our tour guide, put together a great tour of 3 unique restaurant/bars for our small group to enjoy. We sampled an excellent variety of tapas and wine. As we walked to each place, Andres shared fun facts and some history of the area. One of the highlights was at our first stop where we tried Spanish vermouth and the best fried cod we’d ever had! And I also can’t forget the most tender and tasty Iberico pork at our last stop —so good! Andres made everyone feel comfortable and engaged everyone in the conversation. We were also able to make new friends with the other couples in our group. It was an evening well spent and I would highly recommend this tour to all.
