Fuente de Neptuno - The central decoration of the Canovas del Castillo square, its architectural dominant is the magnificent Neptune fountain crowned with a statue of the ancient god of the seas, Neptune. It was built by order of King Carlos III in 1780-1784, almost simultaneously with the famous Sibelius fountain. Its author was the sculptor Juan Pascual de Mena, who created his creation based on the sketches of Ventura Rodriguez.
The fountain was originally located in a different location and was moved to the center of the square in 1898. The main figure of Neptune is made in full growth, he holds a trident in his hands and drives a chariot drawn by a pair of horses. -
Plaza de Cibeles - Cibeles Square (Plaza de la Cibeles) is one of the most striking sights of Madrid, which is so loved by the residents of the Spanish capital and its guests. In the center of the square is the Cibeles Fountain, an exquisite sculptural composition staged here in the 18th century and depicting the goddess of fertility Cybele, sitting in a chariot driven by a pair of lions.

Puerta del Sol - One of the most famous sights of Madrid, the central square of the Spanish capital, Puerta del Sol, owes its origin to the “Gate of the Sun” - one of the gates of the city wall that surrounded the city in the 15th century.
-
Plaza Mayor - You can get to the square from nine streets of Old Madrid through nine arches. Around the perimeter of a clear rectangular shape, there are 136 Baroque buildings. On the ground floors there are cafes and souvenir shops.

Museo de la Catedral de la Almudena - If you drive up to Madrid from the southwest, you cannot but pay attention to the white towers of the Almudena Cathedral, made in the neo-Gothic style. In Spain, a statue of the Blessed Virgin called the Holy Virgin of Almudena is considered the patroness of Madrid.
-
Royal Palace of Madrid - Official residence of the Spanish monarchs, the Royal Palace of Madrid is located in the western part of the city on the site of an ancient Moorish fortress. Its construction began in 1738 and was completed in 1764, during the reign of Charles III. Today it is one of the main attractions of the Spanish capital: the facade of the palace is a virtuoso mixture of architectural features of the Baroque, Rococo and the East.
-
Mercado la Cebada - At the end of the 18th century, the rapid population growth in Madrid created a market that could provide the city with fresh produce. So, on June 11, 1875, by order of King Alfonso II, the Mercado de la Cebada food market was created, which until the 20th century was one of the most important shopping areas in Madrid.
