Very good - Javier was great!! One of the best tour guiders I have ever met! I suggest it!!!! He explained us everything and he was willing to answer any question!!

Worth every penny! - My girlfriend and I did a private tour with a gentleman (I wish I could remember his name!!) that was wonderful. He was so knowledgeable and super passionate about Spain and the Palace. He (politely) reminded many tourists about no the no photo policy, which is a strict rule. Only about 1% is open to the public but there is SO much detail in each room. Without him we wouldn’t have appreciated any of it. If you at all enjoy history, art, or want to get a sense of the mingling of cultural influence on Spain (eg from Italy and France especially) this is a great tour and absolutely worth the price. Walking through there alone is still cool but you won’t be able to appreciate any of the details. Highly recommend.

Beautiful Palace - I loved the palace. The tour was great. I liked that the rooms were furnished and the guide pointed out the important things to notice.

Great Palace Tour...highly enjoyed it! - This tour was fantastic. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the visit really interesting. This was worth doing for sure. We did a self guided tour two years ago and this tour was so much better, and we learned a ton. The guide knew his stuff and kept it interesting. Truly five stars and really worth doing. I found the value great. The only improvement is the meeting place for the tour, it is clearly stated, but if you put it into Google Maps, it shows on the wrong side of the Opera building. Not a big deal, and not the tour operator's fault, as Google shows it incorrectly. The right place to meet is the statue by the Metro station, in front of the Opera (far side of Palace). Again, great tour, and well worth it.

Guide in wrong meeting place - The tour itself was good, but our guide Fernando, was in the wrong meeting spot. We were given explicit instructions to meet at the Isabel II statue in Isabel Plaza. When our guide didn’t show, I called and the tour co. Amigo Tours contacted him. He was at the entrance to the palace. So we made our way there and started the tour. He was very good and knowledgeable, but it seemed he was hurrying a little so he could make his next tour since we started 30 minutes late.

Not worth the price - This was overpriced for a one hour tour with a guide who didn’t speak English well enough to easily understand.
