- Plaza de Chueca - We will be meeting in Chueca Square (‘Plaza de Chueca’) from where we will start our Private Wine and Tapas tour. We will head to the first historic tavern to taste a traditional style of Vermouth, poured on tap. You will get historic facts about the tradition of drinking Vermouth in Madrid as well as a definition of what Vermouth is; how it is made and the different kinds of Vermouth.
Thereafter, we will head to the second venue, a fantastic Spanish Wine and tapas bar. Here you will taste top-quality Cava, a fragrant white wine from Ribeiro and a beautiful Monastrell from Jumilla, all of them paired with delicious tapas, including top-quality Acorn-fed Iberian Jamon, home-made Spanish Tortilla and a selection of artisan Spanish cheeses, including cured Manchego, sheep cheese with truffles, cured Goat cheese; all of them from different regions.
We will finish the tour in a beautiful restaurant located in a vibrant Food market, where you will taste a fabulous Rioja Reserva from a historic winery located in Logroo, paired with yummy croquettes and iconic calamari “bocata” (sandwich, a typical tapa from Madrid). Cheers!
