Message for Cassie’s dad… she made this such a great experience for us! (And she said you might read these reviews.) :) - This was such a great experience. Our tour guide Cassie took us through the Prado museum, focusing on several highlights throughout. She expertly provided a lot of information about the art and the history behind the art. She knows her stuff, is passionate about it, and brought the artwork to life for us. After about an hour and a half in the Prado, we walked to a wonderful and old bar, Casa Alberto, for a drink and a snack. Cassie continued to provide great info about the bar and the drinks (try the vermouth). Next, we walked through the Plaza Mayor and on to Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world. We got to tour the wine cellar before sitting at our table for a wonderful meal.

See Madrid through Art, Culture, and Food - This was a wonderful tour of the Prado Museum led by Montse, whose enthusiasm for the art on display truly helped bring it to life. The food and drinks on offer both at the restaurant and at the taberna along the way were outstanding, and worthy of my highest recommendation!

A must-do experience in Madrid! - Our guide Arantxa brought the paintings of Goya and Valasquez to life with her extensive knowledge and genuine enthusiasm. Her stories and anecdotes about Spanish history and culture made visiting the Prado one of the highlights of our trip. After the Prado, Arantxa brought us to one of the oldest bars in Madrid to sample a traditional vermouth that was actually made in house. Lunch at Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world, did not disappoint. We had a delicious, authentic Spanish lunch and Arantxa, who is a professional chef, explained to us how the dishes were prepared. We had a great day and I highly recommend taking this tour when in Madrid!

Prado summarized and neat lunch experience - Our guide, Arantxa, was so informative in the museum! The Prado is huge so it was good to have someone to boil down the biggest works and history of Spain in a nutshell. The two additional stops were fun and it’s a great experience to eat at Botin. I was glad we got a bit of behind the scenes we wouldn’t have gotten if we had just eaten there on our own.

Get the tour and eat the cake! - Our guide Cassie brought the art to life in her explanations and interpretations. Having a guide is great so you can get more out of your trip. She pointed out the key pieces and was knowledgeable in their history. Having access to Botin before the crowds got in was also amazing. They definitely have the best cheesecake in Madrid! Highly recommend Devour Tours and Cassie.
