Lovely day touring wine producing countryside surrounding Madrid. - Wineries tour. Fantastic day out from Madrid. We visited three wineries, had a lot of great wines to taste with tapas then a lovely lunch with additional wine. Learned a lot about the production of wine in the countryside around Madrid. Our tour guide Muna was lovely and charming.

Long day. Definitely worth it - The wineries we visited with Ismael were all wonderful. From a new small producer to one connected to a large winery. All of the wines were wonderful representations of the region and the wine maker’s passion. We had lunch in a tavern and shared plates. It IS a very long bus ride at each end.

A Full Day of Great Wine - We toured three wineries - an up-and-coming, award-winning winery that produced the first white Ribera del Duero, a larger winery that produces 1.5 million bottles annually, and a traditional winery with a history going back 400+ years. All were excellent. Our guide, Ismael, was knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. He led the tour in both English and Spanish. We'd recommend this tour without hesitation.

great experience - Ismael was an excellent Guide! He explained in detail the process to make wine, took us to 3 wineries in which each had something special. Halfway through the tour he took us to a place to eat delicious and also recommended places to dine which were very good. I highly recommend this tour with Ishmael:)

An honest opinion - Unfortunately this site ONLY gives limited space to review. Bottom line it was a nice way to spend the day. The van was full and somewhat uncomfortable. The guide drove like "mario" and we were a little nervous about our safe arrival and return. But the truth is the winery visits were amazing. But! after doing multiple tours via TripAdvisor all over the world. This was expensive for what you experienced. We spent over $400 for 2 and it did not include a lunch. Basically a van ride. 6 wine tasting total more desired you had to pay for the glass. Some small and repeat same type of appetizers. Please know we are not demanding or snobs in expectations. We give honest opinions. We enjoyed our tour. We liked the tour guides personality. We loved the wines tasted and the winery properties were beautiful. But the value of the totality was hard to swallow. Overall we love using TripAdvisor and find it usually guides us in the right direction for excursions. In conclusion thank you Gourmet Madrid Tours. But we recommend the evaluation of what you provide to the value spent by your customers.

Needed a better guide/driver - Group included 4 Spanish speaking and 3 English speaking. Driver would provide commentary in Spanish for 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes in English. His English was ok but much appeared to be lost in translation. He also translated for Spanish speaking guide at wineries. He did not add much value but a pleasant fellow and good driver. It was nice meeting the other members on the tour and the selection of the 2 wineries provided a good introduction to the local wines.
