Funny experience with Alejandra. - Alexandra made the visit very enjoyable and fun, despite the number of people in the royal palace, which made it difficult to see all things quietly. I definitely recommend you make the visit with her.

Great experience - Alejandra is a well prepared guide who, with her good humor, makes this tour of almost 5 hours very pleasant and charming. Go with comfortable clothes and slippers that will walk a lot. Definitely the best in Madrid.

An excellent tour - the Palace is breathtaking - We had a lovely and very efficient guide called Blanca who was extremely knowledgeable and spoke very clearly- a few sentences in excellent English then the translation into Spanish. We were 25 in the group and we were given headsets so we could hear her properly. The Palace tour took 2 hours but it was worth every minute as every room is so magnificent. Blanca gave us interesting bits of info about the Royal Family past and present e.g the current king had his wedding reception in the stunning dining room where the vast table can seat 300 people. Blanca also told us a lot about the cathedral and the controversy surrounding its construction which took 100 years and wasn’t finished till - I think - 1975. She said a lot of local people still dislike the building. Guides aren’t allowed to give talks inside the cathedral so we walked round by ourselves and found it rather underwhelming - apart from a few areas it is rather plain and the crypt which has a separate entrance was not in our view all that interesting. However the whole afternoon was a great success - thank you Blanca!

You wont regret doing this! - Overall it was an amazing experience. It was good to know the background story of the Royal Palace and the Almuneda Cathedral. Our guide was fluent in both English and Spanish and kept a good envionment throught the tour. Highly recomend. Also, do not look for Viator’s logo on the person waiting for the tour group. Their identifyer is a white umbrella with the SatSuru logo!

Great Tour - Low Priority Activity - The Royal Palace is certainly something to see, and many hundred people do. Note... it can be quite crowded. I would not prioritize a palace tour, although quite beautiful, if you're in Barcelona for a very short stay. Our tour guide did a great job of breaking through the noise of the crowd and bringing the Palace to life. We really enjoyed it. The tour was thorough, but not too long, and it moved at a good pace. The guide was not allowed to take us into the Cathedral, but told us about it from outside and then let us go in to look around. It is a relatively new church, and quite beautiful.

Worth it but take your own earpiece - This tour was so interesting. The only thing that let it down was the ear pieces that are provided by the palace. Given the amount of visitors I feel an ear piece the fits into your ear would allow people to hear better like other tours use. We ended up plugging our own earpieces in that we got from another tour.

Cascão was unnecessary. Otherwise a fantastic tour. - Miguel and Pablo were extremely educated and shared vast knowledge of history, architecture, art, and botany. The only reason I gave a four instead of a five was for the last stop, Cascao. It was unnecesary.

Started the Madrid 45 minutes late and quality of hearing the explanation as it was Spanish in Spanish - We were 45 minutes late starting the tour and it was very hard to hear with the headset and also it was in Spanish and English so it took twice as long. Many people left our tour early. I have been on many tours with this company, and I am very disappointed at the quality. The man was very nice, but extreme lateness and quality of the tour was not there. Very disappointed.
