Ávila & Segovia - 10/100 recommended!! - Amazing! Meeting point is easy to find! When walking to the coach a double decker arrived, very comfortable (sit on the right hand side for best views - personal opinion) Ávila, tour guides were lovely, very informative. We were given a ticket for a free drink & tapas. (drink was optional from a soft drink, wine or beer & tapas was non optional and was a Spanish quiche) anything additional this was at additional fee - we ordered a plate of chips, spaghetti with alioli and 2x slice of bread and this was €20 which I think is reasonable. Second stop was Segovia this city is simply stunning. Very picturesque! We got free time in 3 different parts of the city, tour guides here was very informative. Segovia is definitely worth the visit. The tour on a whole is amazing starting with the value, the stops and food. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone (especially if your not a fan of busy city’s). We booked this tour the night before as City of Madrid was to busy for us and we are so pleased we did.

Highly recommended - Great itinerary! Good service! Too bad no time for roast suckling piglet in Segovia. The guard is knowledgeable. Too much to enjoy in one day!

Enjoyable day in Avila and Segovia - Very good tour with very enthusiastic English speaking guide. Very personable and helpful. Perhaps a little too much emphasis on Saint Teresa in Ávila but nonetheless I highly recommend this guide, tour and company.

Get to see two great cities but fast - Covering two cities this fast does leave you wishing you had done one in a more leisurely way but it was a well organised pick up in Madrid. In Avila less well organised on arrival with no one able to work out how to change channel on radio. Why don’t the staff sort this out on the bus trip not on arrival? Then failed to get the groups sorted properly. Clearly best bet was with out monuments done in a much smaller group. Lunch was very chaotic and don’t go on a Sunday - cathedral shut due to mass. Then to Segovia. Saw cathedral then alcaza. Stunning city. Walked about 10km total and Segovia is up and down on cobbles so beware - mostly slowish pace til near end of day. Warning - take a taxi to bus parking from alcaza if tired as it’s about 1.4km at the very end of day. Glad we did it. Would go to one not both if return visit.
