Sagovia - we took the full day trip option - I could not find the link to the full day tour we went on - so I am posting under this half day thread. Note the full and half day trips are operated by the same company. We opted for the full day because other reviews suggested that half a day would be a bit rushed. Glad we did because the city has so much to offer and is worth seeing. The coach pickup/dropoff were well organised and explained. On arrival we had a 45 minute guided tour and were given 15 minutes comfort break although we were advised to use Burger King or MacDonalds near the bus park because of a lack of public toilets (not great but not the operators fault and it worked out fine). The guide (Juan) was great. We had earphones connected by Wifi to his microphone so hearing was not an issue and in any case the group was not too big. After the guided part of the day we had 5 hours to explore on our own (remember we went for the full day option). Lots to see!

There are no public... - There are no public restrooms after the long bus ride. Took 20 minutes from the tour for everyone to find a restaurant to use the bathroom. Tour guide was great, took double the time to say the information in English and Spanish. No extra time to explore.

Enjoyable tour through the ancient streets of this beautiful city - We really enjoyed this half day guided tour to Segovia. Whilst the journey there did take around 70 minutes we had over 2 hours to explore this beautiful city. Our guide was very knowledgable and we had no issues with the headphones provided. Some have mentioned that the tour appeared a little rushed, however, to visit in 2 hours and to see the main sites requires you to stick to a timeframe. We were perfectly happy with this. We had plenty of time to take photos of the stunning sites. If you want a more leisurely stroll through these ancient streets then I suggest you sign up for a full day tour. Overall, I would recommend this tour.

This was a very good... - This was a very good tour. Unfortunately, there was only 30 minutes of free time before boarding the return trip to Madrid. There was not enough time to visit the castle, dine and/or walk around the city. I would not recommend this tour if you want more time to explore the city.

Great option for half day tour from Madrid - Great tour providing just the right amount of information about the local sights. Very time efficient with sights so not a lot of time to spend wandering around the time at the end of the guided tour but that suited us. Tour guide was friendly and super helpful.

False advertising - I chose this trip specifically because it included entrance to the Alcázar in Segovia. We got there when it closed. Beatriz spent our time in Segovia in the Cathedral looking and explaining at everything. We were late getting to Segovia because of rush hour traffic. She could easily have shortened the Cathedral tour. She did not apologize for arriving late to the Alcázar and blamed it on traffic. The bus did not take the tour to see the Alcázar from the famous views from outside below. She did not explain that this was the original Walt Disney castle that many know.

Unsatisfactory tour - The guide knew a lot about the place, it's a shame that the little device they gave us to listen to what the guide was saying didn't have good sound, you could hardly hear it and the range of that device was almost zero, if you weren't close to the guide you couldn't hear it. . Furthermore, the tour was too fast, we did it almost running and they didn't leave us free time to even buy something to drink or even think about a souvenir.

Super disappointed and It took everything in me to maintain my composure. - Do not take this tour it was rushed and between the guides dialog between Spanish and English it was super confusing and frustrating. The guide was not friendly, had a sour angry face as if she were not happy with her job today. I asked when we would be able to use the restroom and I felt ignored. I had to wait 15 min until we started walking. Also, I asked her to repeat what she was saying inside the gothic church to get an understanding. She said I don’t know. I asked other tourists and they didn’t understand either and felt the tour was rushed. She was very clear to make sure the tourists we back by the time the bus left otherwise they would leave us. We had 20 minutes to look around and get back to the bus. Well, we waited 20 minutes for the other passengers and boy was she upset. One tourist finally showed up as we were pulling off but a family got left behind and they had a young child with them! I feel ripped off as this tour was not very good.

DO NOT USE THIS TOUR COMPANY - DO NOT USE THIS TOUR COMPANY. I wish I had read the reviews before I signed up. There was no guide on the bus for the 1 hour journey. When we got there, we were told there was no toilet and to buy something to use the facilities - we had 5 minutes. We proceeded to walk the entire city with a guide who made no extra effort at all. Dumped half the group at the castle (they had no idea what was happening) and said we had paid for the cathedral (I had no idea what was happening). Rushed through the cathedral and was told we had 15 minutes to walk back across the city and the bus. I begged to stop at the bathroom and they waited for us. No time for shopping or a bottle of water let alone a cup of coffee. I asked the guide why they were so late and they said it was always like this. Waste of money, had literally 2 hours to walk across the city (left at 3pm for 1.5 hour drive, tour of 2 hrs, 1.5 hour drive back). That's it. If the train station weren't so far from the downtown I would have taken an uber, rented a car, or gone guideless with a tour book.

Very bad experience in our planned vacations... - We had a terrible experience with Viator and Madrid VPT tours specifically with the tour guide Cristina. We started taking a bus in Madrid that had already passengers coming from Toledo for a two city tour. In the bus Cristina, the tour guide, mention that some of those passengers tickets didn't include the Castle, Alcazar, visit. Her bad organization cause that 6 of the passengers weren't able to go inside the Alcazar even though we paid in advance. That means that 6 other passengers without having the right to get into the castle got in. She didn't validate the names and tickets with her list. The worst part was that Cristina had no 2nd plan. She didn't offer help nor walked to the ticket office for new ones. We told her about writing a bad review and She answered that She didn't care. The bottom line is that we came from another country and spent a lot of money to go to Segovia. Viator only and wrongfully gave us a reimbursement of 36 dollars instead of give all the cost of the activity.
