Best day tour! - This tour was well worth every penny! The tour guide we had, Isaac, made the tour. He was funny and had a heap of local knowledge. Also if English is your first language, his English was impeccable. Can’t rate this tour enough!!! Must do in Madrid!

The Not So Ultimate food tour - While this tour is described as having plenty of food for breakfast and lunch it did not. We did start with chocolate and churros but then had a half of a small bun with some spiced meat inside. While standing on the sidewalk. At the indoor market we had an olive tasting—we each got 7 olives to taste. Then one potato chip with an anchovy filet. Plus vermout to drink. For this some of us were able to sit, but not all. Then we walked to where we had a taste of one olive oil (again standing up). At the next stand we huddled against the wall and were passed a tray of two jamons and one piece of beef. We each got one piece of each. Next was a cheese tasting with four miniscule pieces of four cheeses and tiny crackers accompanied by a taste of red and a white wine. After walking a distance to the Plaza Mayor we again stood pressed against a wall and were each given half a roll with fried calamari. We concluded the tour at a coffee shop for a small pice of traditional cake and coffee. Although our guide told us at the beginning we were forbidden from saying we were too full , I doubt if anyone approached that level. I have taken food tours in other cities and in comparison there is nothing “ultimate” about this tour particularly with such a high price. On the plus side our guide Mitzi was very knowledgeable and gave us interesting information about eating habits in Spain and bits of history.
