MADURAI ARRIVAL AND SIGHTSEEING
Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple - Upon your arrival at Madurai Airport/Railway Station, our tour representatives will escort you to your hotel. Rest your bags in your rooms, recharge yourself and get ready to move out for sightseeing in Madurai.
Start the day of sightseeing with the very famous Sri Meenakshi Temple. One of the largest Temples of the World and an Architectural marvel. Over the last 2500 years Madurai Meenakshi Temple has been the lifeline of the City of Madurai. Madurai Meenakshi Temple has played a crucial role in promoting Tamil Art, Music, and Dance & Culture.
After temple sightseeing proceed for Madurai Food tour. This city is multicultural and hence its food is diverse and tempting. This walk takes you into the by lanes which serve the most authentic dishes and drinks of Madurai.
Later evening proceeds for Sri Meenakshi Temple night ceremony. This draws in experience the extraordinary ‘Going to Bed Ceremony’ at Sri Meenakshi Temple.
MADURAI – CHETTINAD (110 km, 2-3 hrs approx)
Chettinad - Upon arrival at Chettinad, check in to hotel. In the evening, walk in the village to admire the ancient buildings, visit a cotton weaving center and a factory for the manual manufacturing of the tiles and bronze factory. Check in hotel and stay Chettinad.
CHETTINAD - RAMESWARAM (190 Km, 4-5 hrs approx)
Arulmigu Ramanatha Swamy Temple - Discovery Ramanathaswamy temple, one of the major shrines of South India. The faithful attribute specific qualities to its 22 Theertham (basins), where they bathe and drink water.
Dhanushkodi - Then visits Jada Tirtham, Agniteertham, Five-Faced Hanuman Temple, Gandhamadhana Parvatham, Dhanushkodi, Kothandaramaswamy Temple.
Pamban bridge - After lunch proceeds for Pamban Bridge excursion through a train journey from Mandapam railway station to Rameswaram station to explore Pamban Bridge - The Pamban (Railway Bridge and Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge) connects Mandapam Town in Mainland India with Rameswaram. It was India’s first sea bridge and 100years old. The location is also a cyclone-prone, high-wind-velocity zone. It is an Engineering Marvel. Check in hotel and stay at Rameswaram.
RAMESWARAM- MADURAI (175 Km, 4 hrs approx)
Madurai - Transfer to Madurai (4 hrs journey). Arrive and dropp off at your preferred point or place. End of our services
