Anticolonial perspective of history - Dhanabalan was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and pointing out always controversial aspects of history. I enjoyed very much his explanations seen through a feminist and intersectional perspective!

Excellent tour and service - Great experience! Our guide communicated the day prior providing important information regarding dress code and where to arrive. He met us in the parking lot and walked us through the temple and the hall of a thousand pillars. Was very helpful to have him navigate for us (and we are Tamil speakers) with the large crowds. Very knowledgeable and provided excellent details and histories. Very considerate of our needs - we had both old and young and Indian and non-Indian family members with us. Highly recommend!

Don't Miss Out - By far the best guided experience. Dhanabalan Perumal was awesome! He speaks good english and was able to explain everything in detail. He sent me pictures afterwards and was very accomodating. Don't miss this tour!

Madurai Meenakshi temple visit and good guide with english language skills to take you around - Visited Madurai temple on 15th June. Magnificent temple and a huge one to cover in a day if one would like to see everything in detail. Very importantly, had an excellent guide by name Dhanapalan Perumal and his mobile no. is 96593 24304. We wanted a guide who can explain in English and Dhanapalan is very fluent in explaining in English, he as very good knowledge about history of the temple, architecture, details of other places and very passionate to explain everything in detail. He explained everything without hurrying and ensured to give us a lot of time to see around. Anyone in need of a guide in Madurai with Tamil or English language requirement, I strongly recommend to book him by calling the above number. Visiting Madurai temple without a proper guide will not be effective.

An amazing Temple visit with an Amazing guide. - Our guide, Dhanabalan, was a wealth of information. My sister and I visited the Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple and wanted to know the history. I was glad we found Dhanabalan and he was very patient and answered all our questions. He took the time and explained every detail. Thank you Dhanabalan.

Meenakshi Amman Temple tour - Meeting Mr. Dhanabalan Perumal was blessing as we went through all historical facts about Meenakshi Amman temple in detail.
Mr. Dhanabalan Perumal was more like a teacher than a simple guide, giving us religious guidance on various parts of temple. His knowledge of Tamil literature was also great. I will surely recommend him to my friends & family.
He adjusted timing as well to suit our convenience.

Excellent guide - The guide Mr. Dhanabalan was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He explained the history and mythology related to the temple really very well. He helped us in darshan also and bought 'Prasad' for us. All this made the experience memorable and enjoyable! We were really happy that we booked this tour at the last moment.

A divine evening at the Meenakshi Temple - Our visit to the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai was an extraordinary experience, made even more special by coinciding with the temple's most auspicious festival – the celestial wedding of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar. Our guide, Mr. Dhanabalan Perumal, was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate, enhancing our tour with fascinating stories and insights that brought the rich history and spiritual significance of the temple to life.
We began our tour at 5:30 PM, and the temple was already vibrant. The temple's stunning architecture, with its intricate carvings and towering gopurams, was an awe-inspiring sight under the evening sky.
Mr. Perumal expertly navigated us through the bustling crowds, ensuring we experienced the core rituals and ceremonies of the festival. He provided detailed explanations of the temple’s art and architecture, making us feel deeply connected to the cultural heartbeat of Madurai. Exiting the temple at 7:30 PM, we were profoundly moved by the devotion and joy of the festival attendees.
