Highlights
  • Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) - A 2-hour drive north from Hua Hin/Cha-am brings you to the renowned Maeklong Market. Known locally as the Railway Market, vendors display fresh fruits, vegetables, and seafood right on the railroad tracks. Witness the vendors swiftly dismantle their stalls as a passenger train passes through, only to reassemble them immediately after. This bustling market offers a unique display of trade ingenuity as the train carefully navigates through the tightly packed stalls. Have your cameras ready as the train slowly approaches and comes to a stop, avoiding all the merchandise and street stalls.

  • Amphawa Floating Market - Next, we head to Samut Songkhram, a province known for its seafood industry due to its proximity to the Gulf of Thailand. Here, you’ll enjoy an early seafood dinner at a local restaurant. As the sun sets, we arrive at the Amphawa Evening Floating Market. This vibrant market, popular from Friday to Sunday, is a two-hour drive north of Hua Hin. It is lined with old wooden houses and is a favorite among locals who eat, drink, and shop at the riverside stalls late into the night. Many traditional canal-side homes have been transformed into boutique accommodations.

Stroll along Amphawa’s main canal and interact with locals selling mostly homemade food and pastries. A short long-tail boat ride along the canal offers a different perspective of this popular weekend market.

  • Hua Hin - Finally, we return to your hotel in Hua Hin/Cha-am, arriving in the evening.
