- New Elephant Home - The journey begins with a hotel pickup, followed by a drive to the elephant sanctuary, located about an hour away. New Elephant Home is an elephant conservation park nestled in the picturesque Mae Tang Valley, just an hour from Chiang Mai. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the sanctuary shifted its focus to conservation. The herd of 16 elephants thrives in a stress-free environment, enjoying their days eating, playing, and engaging in natural behaviors without the demands of rides or shows. Visitors can also explore a nearby village, home to two indigenous tribes, providing a unique opportunity to participate in cultural activities and learn about their traditional lifestyle. Join this unforgettable experience, connecting with the lively elephants and the Karen (Long Neck) people in the heart of Thailand.
- Bamboo Rafting (Panda Tour) - Next, a short 15-minute drive will take you to the bamboo rafting site. Here, you will spend an hour enjoying bamboo rafting, surrounded by stunning natural scenery. As you float along the river, you will be captivated by the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
- Bua Thong Waterfalls (Nam Phu Chet Si) - After bamboo rafting, the tour proceeds directly to the Bua Thong Waterfall, approximately a 40-minute drive away. Amazing Tour – 10/10 Recommend! - We had an unforgettable day with Paul as our guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had a great time from start to finish.
The Sticky Waterfall was so much fun to climb, bamboo rafting was peaceful and scenic, and the elephant sanctuary was the highlight—feeding and bathing the elephants was truly special.
Everything was well-organized, and Paul made the experience even better. If you're in Thailand, this tour is a must!

Amazing Experience – Highly Recommend! - Paul went above and beyond today! This was such a fantastic trip.
We started at the Sticky Waterfalls, where we climbed up the waterfalls—it was incredible! Since we arrived early, there were no other tourists, so we had the place to ourselves and could take some amazing photos.
Next, we went bamboo rafting, which was such a peaceful and beautiful experience. Floating down the river for an hour and watching the elephants was truly special.
After that, we got to interact with the elephants—feeding them, preparing food and medicine for them, and even bathing with them in the river. It was such a wonderful and unforgettable experience!
If I could give Paul more than five stars, I absolutely would. He did an amazing job, and even the driver was fantastic. The entire facility was well-maintained, and everyone was super friendly. The food was outstanding—it tasted absolutely delicious.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience!

Must Do!!! - Booked this through Get Your Guide. We did the Elephant Sanctuary and Sticky Warerfall.
Have to say it was a brilliant day! The sticky waterfall was fun and a really good experience. We did this first thing at around 10am and wasn't busy at all!
We then went onto the Elephant Sanctuary and, well, speechless! Incredible. You get given a buffet lunch when arriving, which was delicious. Then onto feeding the elephants. You prepared their food and snacks and then get to feed them. You literally put the good in their mouth and trunks. You can touch and stroke them. You then walk them down to the fresh river where you bath them. This experience has to be one of the best for me!
Also, I was sceptical on how much of a 'Sanctuary' it is, but the elephants literally roam free! And you can see how they are treated by the caretakers.
Big shout out to Fluke, our guide!! Funny, interactive, honest, friendly! He has tonnes of knowledge about the elephants and tips for you at the waterfalls. He also gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip where we're moving onto the different islands.
I never write reviews but this has made our trip to Chiang Mai 👌🏼

Excellent day out to sticky waterfall, elephant sanctuary and long neck village - A fantastic experience. Started with the sticky waterfall, then the elephant sanctuary where we had some delicious food and finished in the long neck village which is right next to the sanctuary. Fluke was an excellent tour guide and was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Aaron & Marie-Ann - What a fantastic day!
From the start everything was done perfectly, our guide Fluke was on time and when he called to pick us up he was so polite, this trend continued until the very end top guy and I would recommend going with him if you want to check out this sanctuary and Waterfall experience.
The van we traveled in was spacious enough and AC constantly turned on for the duration of the trip.
Our first stop. The sticky waterfall! A great experience… what a backdrop and what a setting to start our day of adventure, just absolutely defiantly do not miss if you get the chance to come up this far….
But wow oh wow the elephant sanctuary…
Again from the beginning we were brought in and given a locker for safeguarding all of our belongings and then down for some delicious pad Thai ..
we got the chance to prepare what food the elephants eat on a daily basis intertwined with some facts about the elephants we were there to see.
I’m not going to spoil everything… just get down to experience it… this has been one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life!!! Thank you New Elephant Home and especially thank you Fluke!!!
