- Air Terjun Kedung Kayang - If you are looking for alternatives to visit when you are in Yogyakarta or around Magelang, Kedung Kayang waterfall is one not to miss. This waterfall is located inside National Park of Mount Merapi. What does that mean? It means that you can enjoy nice view of this waterfall with Mount Merapi as the background. After an hour and half driving from Yogyakarta, we will arrive at the entrance of Kedung Kayang waterfall. The sign at the entrance shows you that you can either go up or go down. The thing about this waterfall is that you can enjoy the view from different angles. You can choose to walk up the stairs to see the surrounding from the top of a tree with the waterfall below you, or walk down the stairs to enjoy the waterfall right in front. And what is better? You can do both!

- Selogriyo Temple - From the carpark area, our driver will walk you through a stretch of local’s residences where you can see a glimpse of the farmers’ daily life. He then will take you to the entrance booth at the start of the trail where you can buy a ticket. A short walk later, you will reach a point that extends your view to the rice terraces below. You can go down the rice terraces yourself, enjoy the view, take photos, get closer look at buffalo ploughing if you are lucky, or chat with the farmers. They are extremely friendly! The 2km hike to the temple is not difficult. There are slopes here and there but not steep. We do suggest you to equip yourself with necessary gear as the place is pretty exposed to the sun. The temple is small but well-maintained. You can take some time to enjoy the scenery before going down. You will take different route back to the entrance, but with similar breath-taking view of rice terraces stretched to the horizon glistening under the sun.

Great nature day trip from Yogyakarta - I booked this tour to enjoy some nature outside of Yogykarta City and really enjoyed it! My guide was Salma, who was very patient and professional. He also told me a lot about Yogyakarta and Indonesian culture during the car ride. The Kedung Kayang waterfall was so beautiful, and the Selogriyo rice terraces were so lush and green. The trip was truly worth it.

Hidden waterfall and just a great day. - If you are looking for a special experience, book here. We had such a lovely and relaxed time with our driver and tour guide Fajar from Trans Marindo Yogyakarta. He is so much fun to go with and his language skills are perfect. We first went to the hidden waterfall and continued to a local panoramic scenery near the volcanos. Additional plus was a great (real) coffee ☕️ while enjoying the view. Not a crowded place and since up high (1100m) pretty cool. Best day outside Yogyakarta ever. Thanks Fajar ❤️ you are the best.
Ps: ask for Fajar as you driver if you love to talk and find out about local cultures and behinds.

Insane views you don't want to miss - I attended this trip with my group of friends, and we had Fajar as our tour guide. He was awesome and gave us a lot of insights on the long drives and also while we were walking, answering any questions we had to his best ability. He was a great photographer at the waterfall and the fields too! Not to mention his F1 level driving skills. The experience was amazing and I could not recommend it enough. We only saw one other group of tourists at the fields so it's definitely a lot less crowded than other areas. We were lucky and the sky was clear enough to see the volcano which was awesome. A few notes for anyone considering this experience that I wish we knew is; (1) it is quite physically demanding in terms of how much walking we did when at the fields and also to get to the waterfall at the bottom, and (2) definitely bring shoes that you can wear in the water if you want to see the waterfall at the bottom because you have to cross 2 streams/rivers to get to it (we did it bare feet and were fine but if you're nervous about those things then I recommend water shoes). It was also very culturally immersive in terms of walking on the small paths through the fields instead of on a path next to it. There was also a chance to buy some locally farmed coffee at the fields so make sure to bring some cash (we didn't try any but could be good for any coffee lovers). Overall, I 100% recommend this experience to anyone interested because there were some insane views that you don't want to miss.

Fun, Meaningful, and Beautiful! - What a fun day getting to adventure through the beautiful natural landscape of Jogjakarta! Salma was an awesome guide and made the experience informative and meaningful — he took photos, helped me to practice my Bahasa Indonesia skills, and was a great person to chat with! I would recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors and learning about Javanese culture!

“Unforgettable Day at the Selogriyo Rice Terraces and Waterfall - We had an unforgettable day exploring the stunning rice terraces and a beautiful waterfall near Yogyakarta with our guide, Marman. His knowledge, kindness, and warm personality made the experience truly special. Marman not only shared fascinating insights about the local culture and traditions but also made sure everything was perfectly organized and comfortable for us. Give the tour guide Marman 5 stars! - Marman is a great tour guide, careful and happy to help. English is good and you can discuss a variety of topics. The day was arranged by the travel agency, I traveled with another person who travelled alone, we talked a lot along the way, we were both happy to make this trip together

Nice trekking and beautiful waterfall. - We had nice trekking in the padi field. We also had grey experience to the waterfall. Our driver and guide, Mr Salma is a good and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Trekking king in Yogykarta - Great way to see the country side and get away from the crowds. We did 4 miles or 6 km of walking. Our guide Marman was excellent. He has a great eye for taking pictures, and we never looked this great. He was very informative. Highly recommend this activity and the guide Marman

Very pleasant experience with great hiking - Yeldhy was the driver today, and he had also been an outstanding guide as well answering many questions I had in mind. We visited the hidden water fall first with a good hike crossing two streams and then visited Selogriyo Temple and the nearby locally produced coffee shop. This was a good tour, a great opportunity to see the country side in Central Java.

Excellent experience 👌 - I had the pleasure of touring with Mr. Marman. I was personally picked up from my hotel right on time, just as promised. After completing all the planned activities, we returned without any delays. The whole experience was wonderful and full of fun.
We first visited a beautiful waterfall with a breathtaking view where we took some great photos. Then we went to the rice fields, where we got to see the workers in action. Mr. Marman explained how the rice harvest is done, which was very informative.
Although I was the only guest on the tour that day, it still felt lively and special—almost like a private VIP experience. In fact, I’d say it was a VIP experience. I had so much fun, I’m extremely satisfied, and I truly thank you for this memorable day.
