Great experience, much laughter and charming guide - We met guide Nuri at Lotus Guesthouse after we visited Borobodur. As we drove our own scooters we hit the road together all on scooters. It made the tour extra fun because we saw a lot of the local villages in the surrounding area. Nuri showed us where they make tofu and many rice fields. The pottery and batik making was super fun. Nuri is easy going, good in English and clearly he knows what he talks about when explaining. Also the people we met during the tour were warm and welcoming.

Jaker tours are in perfect harmony with the environment. - Spent 2 days on the road with Nuri. In the afternoon to villages near Borobudur with visits to a Tofu maker, potter and a Batik studio/workshop. The next morning to Selo Griyo. A mountain landscape with agriculture, beautiful views, a temple and a delicious coffee at the end. Nuri is patient and knows about Indonesian culture. Highly recommended!

The best local experience I had in 1 month in Indonesia - Nuri was the best guide and tour I had in a full month travelling through Indonesia. His approach is very different than any other tour I did before. It was not about 'seen it-done it', it was about 'lets enjoy with the local people that we meet on our way'. I liked it that much, that I came back to do another tour with him. On top of that, he is super relax and funny person, what makes it even nicer to have a real local experience. If you want to enjoy a real local experience and connect with local people, he is definitely your guide! When I come back to Indonesia, I will call him again!

My favourite bicycle tour - Today we went on a bicycle tour to some villages around the Borobudur, together with our guide Nuri. It was very interesting and fun. I can highly recommend Nuri as a guide. First we went to the tofu village Karang and saw how tahu is made. After that we made our own pottery and batik. Thank you Nuri for this wonderful experience!!

Wonderful experience - We much enjoyed our trip to Selo Griyo thanks to the kind support of Tomo. He shared a lot of explanations to help us to understand the ways of living in the countryside. We had such nice and easy walks, with beautiful landscapes : rice fields, fruit culture, jungle and mountain views, and finally the peaceful temple. Thanks a lot for sharing this experience We highly recommend Jaker and Tomo as a guide !

A creative morning - We visited the local villages with Nuri. He is a lovely man. It wasn't just an informative tour but also you are welcomed to taste the tofu and try your creative abilities. It was a really fun morning and we met lovely people.

bicycle tour around villages near Borobodur - Amazing experience! We did it after visiting the Borobudur temple and it was really the right choice. Through this tour you can know a little more about the rural life outside Yogyakarta. We visited a family that has a tofu production, a family that does pottery and another one that has a batik gallery. Going around on bicycle was really funny and relaxing and you can see different cultivations and villages.

A unique moment with friendly and lovely people - We stayed at Jake's Lotus 2 guesthouse overnight, so we could enjoy Borobudur aside from just the sunrise and the temple. We had a great time. Jake is friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming, and very interested to entertain new guests and chat about everything. The view of the temple at night from the lovely garden while enjoying tea was amazing ! Jake was very accomodating even though we arrived late in the day and hadnt really organized our stay in advance. Nuri and his friends Jafar and Singhi were really super friendly and lots of fun ! They drove us to see the sunrise on Merapi from a hilltop, and took us for some motorbike discoveries in the villages near Borobudur, where they introduced us to local people, their craft and customs. We also sat down together for a very special coffee :) and had some great discussions. We could tell they are very involved in the community, interested in making other people discover their home, and generally are good and genuine people. They answered all our questions and more about the people we met and the way of life around Borobudur, and were always happy to help. In a nutshell, it was very nice to meet the whole team and they made our short stay in Borobudur one of the highlights of our trip to Java. Terima Kasih !

Country side Indonesia - Very nice and friendly tour. Surely I recommend this tour for solo or couples. We went on motorbikes but there is bicicle alternative.

Excellent!! - We stayed at Lotus 2 and toured with Nuri for two days, doing 3 activities in total. Nuri was very knowledgable and friendly, he always made us feel welcome. The tours were amazing - a really nice look at normal life in Borobudur and the surrounding villages. It’s clear Nuri is well liked by the locals and everyone is so friendly. We had an amazing time on all the experiences and can totally recommend!
