Join us for a snorkeling adventure to rarely visited areas of the Great Mesoamerican reef system. We will take you to unique snorkeling spots chosen to give you a wide view of the local wildlife. We will spend a total of 3 hours on our tour, snorkeling among the local flora and fauna of the Great Mesoamerican Reef. These areas are populated with many Caribbean fish and coral species (French and Gray angelfish, Damselfish, Bluehead and Yellowhead wrasse, Stoplight parrotfish, Grunts, Puffers and more). If we’re lucky, we may even see spotted eagle rays or even green sea turtles.

We have over 50 years combined experience working and living at the Great Mesoamerican Reef here in Mahahual, Costa Maya. We offer expertise on environmental conditions, as well as flora and fauna in the area, and our tours are always provided in English and Spanish.

Our tour includes semi-professional snorkeling equipment (all cleaned and sanitized before and after every use) including fins, certified life vests, and a certified guide who will also take underwater photos of your experience as a courtesy.

We offer snacks to enjoy right on the boat! We provide water, beer, sports drinks and, with online reservations, our own La Leyenda Craft Beer for free.

Our beach is next to “Hotel 40 Cañones”, where you are free to lounge on the beach, use our kayaks and paddle boards.
