Great day trip! - This tour is great. First stop in Chacchoben ruins, early, before the cruise ship tour busses get there, and the second stop at lake Bacalar. The boat ride and swimming is just amazing. On the way back we stopped at a local restaurant with great tacos, and we made it back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. Definitely would recommend this tour company. Shout out to Juan Corona, our guide.

The most fun of our trip! - Leo our guide was amazing! A private air conditioned vehicle with JUST 2 other couples? Yes please! We continue to talk about this tour being the highlight of our trip! Bacalar Lagoon was truly remarkable and felt like a once in a lifetime thing! Lunch of local fish tacos? Amazing! Oh, we may have done a few tequila shots too! The Ruins, The Lagoon, The Tacos, the safety and laughter had throughout? Please book this tour and ask for Leo as your guide!

Best bang for your buck!! - Our guide Leo and driver Chucky were amazing!! Leo was extremely knowledgeable regarding the agriculture, archeology and history of the area, but lively and fun! They were very conscious of the time, making sure we had plenty of time at each location and still delivered us back to the port with time to shop. We definitely got our money's worth. They were stocked with lots of water, soda, beer, tequila and snacks. Lunch was delicious. If you do this excursion, get the pork tacos, you will not regret it! They were amazing!

Highly recommend this excursion. - This was our first time using TripAdvisor for a cruise port excursion and we had an amazing time. Our tour guide and driver were excellent. Our favorite part was the trip to the lagoon. Jumping off the boat and swimming in chest high crystal clear water was awesome. The ruins were fascinating, but the swarm of mosquitoes almost made it unbearable. Our tour guide was great at keeping us moving and staying away from the swarms but I highly recommend bringing mosquito repellent. Overall, we were very pleased with this excursion, and the price was significantly lower than the ship price for a similar experience.

Best excursion ever!! - I went with my mom and her best friend and I cannot recommend this excursion enough!!! BOOK IT NOW! It is by far the most memorable excursion I have ever booked and we all loved it! As soon as we got there we were greeted by our guide Leo who is the best guide in the world. He was so friendly and personable, and he also was very informative about the Bacalar lagoon and the Chacchoben Ruins. Eric, our driver was awesome too and made sure we got to each destination quickly, so we would have as much time as possible. Our first stop was the lagoon and it was truly breathtaking. I have never seen such clear and beautiful water in my life and on top of that it was freshwater! While we only spent an hour and a half swimming there, I didn’t want to leave and we could’ve spent all day in there. It was that magical. After that we had our lunch that was included in the excursion and it too surpassed my expectations. Me and mom both got fajitas and her friend got the tacos. Everything was so delicious, probably the best meal I had on my vacation, and it was also cool because it is authentic which I had never gotten to experience as this was our first time in Mexico. Once we were done with lunch, we headed to the ruins. Leo once again was amazing! He took us on a little private tour and told us lots of interesting information regarding the ruins and the Mayans. We even got to climb one of the temples that is currently being excavated. Also, we had a little surprise of doing tequila shots at 9 in the morning with Leo! Which of course was so fun! All in all, the whole day was amazing and unforgettable and we are so glad we booked it!
