Amazing tour with Jhoana! - We loved our private excursion to Chacchoben with Jhoana from the Ecoexperience team. She was very friendly and informative and tailored the experience to our requests. If you come to Costa Maya we highly recommend doing the tour!

Mayan Cruisemas Vacation - We had a fabulous tour with Joseph. We felt like we hit the lottery with him as our guide. If you can request him as your guide for the day, you will be as lucky as we were. His knowledge and passion for the Mayan culture and history is unmatched. Joseph was also very kind and patient with our multigenerational family of 7 and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We will all have great memories of this tour to last a lifetime.

Great tour and guide! - Jhoana was a great guide! She patiently & animatedly explained the history behind the Chaccoben ruins and Mayan civilisation. The trip was on time, we were picked up in our private tour bus and we even stopped for a delicious snack on our way back! Definitely recommend.

Great Experience! - Jhoana was great! Our cruise ship was significantly behind on the scheduled port arrival time, but Jhoana stood out in the heat for at least two hours awaiting our arrival. We still had enough time to visit the ruins and experience the excursion without feeling rushed. The vehicle was clean and had operating seatbelts. We felt extremely safe from start to finish. They also had plenty of drinks for us to enjoy. Jhoana also did a great job with providing the history and education and answering all of our questions. She was very friendly and took plenty of photos for us. I was also grateful because although there were several other groups getting tours at the ruins, she made sure to keep our group exclusive, and far away from the others. It was truly a VIP experience. 10/10 recommend!

Jhoana was the best! - If I could give Jhoana 10 stars I would! She was so much fun and we really really enjoyed our time with her. The meeting point was perfect and pickup was seamless at the cruise port. She had a cooler of drinks ready to go for us for our drive to and from Chacchoben. On the way she was super informative about the Mayan people and the ruins. We stopped at a roadside stand where she got us fresh cut pineapple and jicama to snack on for the drive. At the ruins we were greeted by our tour guide (Mara, I believe) who was fantastic. We had our 86 year old grandmother with us who is still capable, but can't do as much as she once could and we were able to go at her pace. Next time we come back to Costa Maya I am definitely requesting Jhoana to take us around.

Jhoana is your GIRL......Ask for her for a "great" Excursion - Our Family of 7 booked a private tour in July because we had a very short Port Time. We chose to go to the Ruins on our tour. What makes a tour special? The people who are in charge of you for that period. Then, comes Ms. Jhoana. An angel disguised as a tour guide, and, by far, the most generous, knowledgeable and entertaining person on the island. The skies broke loose and the rains came down on us, and, no one cared. Jhoana is the one who will show you a great time, give you a history lesson & she will feed you the freshest Pineapple and Mango you ever tasted. She took pictures of my family and actually sent them to us.......who does that? JHOANA, that's who....... Oh, and she got us back to the ship on time!
