This 8-hour excursion kicks off at 8:30 AM on November 3rd, offering a perfect escape into the heart of Mauritius’s eastern treasures. Begin with a glass-bottom boat ride at Blue Bay Marine Park, where the underwater world comes alive with vibrant marine life. Whether you choose to snorkel or simply enjoy the view from the boat, the experience is bound to be mesmerizing. A recent review from August 2024 highlights the beauty of the park:
Blue Bay Marine Park - Our day started with La Vanille Nature Park where we thoroughly enjoyed the Giant Tortoises wandering freely amongst the visitors which my son and all adults were amazed by their friendly nature. We then went to Mahebourg Museum which although small it’s history is very insightful regarding maritime war and slavery. Next was a trip to the local market which was vibrant with local people selling their fruit and vegetables along with street sellers targeting visitors. Following this we had lunch at a local restaurant serving local food such as curry and fish. Finally to end our day we visited the most beautiful beach at Blue Bay Marine Park surrounded by local people picnicking. The views we spectacular and our boat trip guide was very informative showing us the different corals and talking about their aims for preservation of the reef. We decided to remain in the boat but we’re also given the choice to snorkel if we wished to take a closer look at the various fish around us. Our driver was very friendly and talkative throughout our day giving us information about our places of visit and life on Mauritius. (Reviewed at: 2024-08-24)
