Day 01: (Wed) Ha Noi - Mai Chau – Son La
Mai Chau - 07:30 pick up at hotel for our Northwest Loop.
- Heading Mai Chau for the first visit to the white Thai minority.
- Get to know their daily life and special architecture of stilt houses.
- Afterwards strolling throughout narrow lanes of Lac and Pom Coong village of the White Thai.
- Enjoy lunch…

Follow the road number 6 to Moc Chau. Moc Chau is a mountain town at the elevation of 1500 m above the sea, home to the green H’Mong, the Dzao and the Muong ethnic minorities and famous for Its plantations of green tea and dairy cow.

After a quick stop then continue our trip to to Son La town.

Day 02: (Thu) Son La – Tuan Giao – Dien Bien Phu – Muong Lay (former Lai Chau)
Dien Bien Phu - - Breakfast at the hotel then we drive to visit the Colonial Prison of French.

A special drive over the Pass named Fadin pass, the pass with 20km long, where the earth meets the heaven. From here you can enjoy the 3600 view of the Northwest.

Visit some local hill tribes village on the way.

Head down to Dien Bien Phu valley for lunch.

After lunch we will visit Dien Bien Phu old battle field and the war remnant museum, the A1 hill and the Martyr’s cemetery for who died in the war and the bunk of the General De Castry….

Day 04: (Sat) Sa Pa Trekking – Bac Ha homestay
Bac Ha - Sa Pa Trekking to 4 villages: Ylinh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van
4-5 hrs trekking throughout 4 hamlets - visit 2 different kinds of minority.

Car take us to Ylinh Ho village for our mountain light trek to YlinhHo and Lao Chai village, visit the black H’mong minority village and spectacular scenery of terraced paddies on both sides of Muong Hoa stream with the simple rattan suspending bridges in scatter.

After a picnic lunch, keep on alongside Muong Hoa stream, over suspension bridges to Ta Van village of the Dzay people.

You should wake up early around 06h00 to see Bac Ha market, early then you can see what is original of an Ethnic minority market.

Attend the Market that known as the biggest ethnic market of all Northwest Vietnam. By about 7 different kinds of hill tribes, with 7 different colors of clothes, as well as traditional customs and local culture from the Tay, the Dzay, the Red Dzao, the Black H’mong… Come to the market for interesting discoveries, as well as getting to know the universal daily life of the hill tribes in Vietnam. Our guide will offer explanations.
