• Mount Longonot National Park - Begin your journey from Nairobi to Mt Longonot National Park, traveling through the lush green highlands of Kikuyu. A scheduled stop will be made at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. This valley, formed 5 million years ago, extends from the Red Sea through Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania. As an active volcanic region, you will have the opportunity to view the volcanic Mt Suswa and Mt Longonot from this vantage point.

Upon arrival at Mt Longonot National Park, embark on a hike to the crater. This trek requires moderate physical fitness as you navigate the gullies along the mountain’s sides. Rest stops are available at designated points along the trail. Upon reaching the crater’s rim, enjoy the breathtaking view into the crater below. For those with the stamina, a walk around the crater’s rim is possible.

After descending from Mt Longonot to the Park headquarters, take some time to relax and enjoy lunch. Following this, you will be transported back to your hotel in Nairobi.
