- Get Wet Surf School - Upon your arrival at The Spit, look for The Surf Shack situated behind the Seaway Cafe. Navigate your way by walking between the cafe and the restroom facilities to enter through the rear gate.\nUpon your arrival, we’ll take a brief moment to check you in and distribute your surfing gear before we collectively make our way to the shoreline to commence the surfing lesson. Please note, if you’re over 10 minutes late from the scheduled meet-up time, the group may have already left for the beach, and unfortunately, it will be too late to join as you won’t have your equipment.\nOnce on the sand, our instructors will provide essential safety briefings and demonstrate surfing techniques. After that, you’re set to experience the excitement of surfing with some fun tumbles and rides on the waves.\nOur children’s classes prioritize complete safety and enjoyment, taking place in shallow waters with a strict ratio of no more than four children per instructor.\nPlease be aware that this class is exclusively for children aged 6-12 years. Adults are welcome to accompany their children but not participate in the class.

Our Kids lesson are designed for 100% safety and fun, conducted in safe shallow water with a max 4 kids per instructor. Enjoy learning to surf at a beautiful, undeveloped local beach called The Spit, offering stunning views of the Surfers Paradise skyline in the backdrop. Your highly-qualified and experienced surf coach will provide you plenty of personal attention and laughs along the way. Have a look and laugh at the photos of you riding waves, or falling with style, after your fun-filled lesson.

- Please provide your own swimwear
- Please refrain from bringing any valuables to the beach
- Parental assistance in the water may be required if your child is not a strong swimmer

When you arrive at the Spit carpark, you will find us located behind the Seaway Cafe. Just walk down between the cafe and the amenities block and in the back gate. There is no public transport beyond Seaworld if you do not have your own transport please contact us about the shuttle service.

Better than any theme park ride! - perfect conditions, our surf instructor Killarney was awesome. Everyone in the group was standing up on most waves, not just one! Better than all the theme park rides on the gold coast!

The BEST kids activity in Gold Coast!! - My kids (6 and 8 years old ) had so much fun on that day! Thank you Jason for making surfing sessions so much fun and engaging. They learned how to get use to the wave and trying to crouch to get the feeling of what it feels like when you stand on the surfboard in the waves. It’s easy for the kid to understand the basic. Kids was so happy and excited just after first lesson. Who would have thoughts kids could fall in love in suring even in windy winter seasons. Thank you once again! You’re the best Jason!

Private lesson for 4 kids - We did a private lesson for 4 kids aged 5-12 with 2 instructors. The cost was $440 plus an additional $80 for a second instructor, which was well worth the cost. The second instructor mostly chased after the littlest one to free up time for the three bigger kids to learn to surf. They all had a lot of fun, and we parents felt pretty comfortable that everyone was safe and well-supervised. Would recommend it!

Fun Fun Fun - My 7 year old son first time surfing
Seeing him getting up on the board & surfing a wave with the biggest smile on his face was definitely the highlight of the morning Beau & Billy were fantastic i would definitely recommend this experience.

Great Fun! - Booked a surf lesson for my three kids (aged 6, 8 an 13). They had a great time learning the basics and then catching some waves, standing up and riding some waves all the way in. Would definitely recommend Get Wet Surf School!

Awesome kids surfing lessons - Our 6 and 8 y/o grandkids had no previous surfing had a great experience, with awesome instructors and lots of surfing. They both got up and were very excited.

Fantastic Surf Lessons for Kids - Couldn’t be happier with the offering of a 1:4 ratio specialised childrens lessons (ages 6-12 years). Amazing instructors using really positive, age appropriate instructions and getting the kids excited and engaged while teaching about the importance of ocean water safety.
My kids are super keen to go back again as soon as we have a chance to visit. Definitely will be back for more lessons.

Awesome experience - I booked a lesson for my 8 yr old Grandson visiting for Christmas holidays. The team of instructors were fantastic and patient. 8yr old is now hooked and made Dad go and buy a surf board.

Great school holiday fun - My kids did the kids learn to surf classes. Great fun and really friendly instructors. The location at the Spit is also good as it’s less crowded than other spots. Definitely a great activity for kids in the school holidays.
