Thank you Eric! - Had a fantastic tour here with Eric. He was very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. He showed and explained the process of cognac making and tasting very well. Really enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend it to every one. Oh! And the cognac was delicious!!

Great E2E view of cognac process with lovely tasting - Really interesting tour with a good balance of educational and entertainment aspects. Generous tasting at the end. English speaking tour and Eric spoke well. His prior knowledge of other cognac houses also helps elaborate on differences in practice. Great tour as can see process end to end as they distill on site - not the norm on most cognac tours. PS. The cognac tasted good too. My fave was the Braastad Extra and my wife’s was the Tiffon XO. Booked through GetYourGuide but seems cheaper via TripAdvisor.

A very personal tour - We booked a basic tour and we’re very surprised by the detailed and personal approach offered by a very knowledgable gentleman,Eric ( the Demi Viking). My wife and I were escorted over the whole site, which is substantial, in a two hour slot without rushing and were captivated by the history of the company , also Eric’s in-depth stories when we probed further into his own experiences. This gentleman has a wealth of knowledge which was very surprising for his age. But then everything is relative and we are both considered “ seniors” in some parlances.

The tour was very... - The tour was very interesting, Eric was an excellent guide. The museum was probably my favourite part of the tour and of course the tasting was exquisite.

Fabulous - We completely enjoyed this informative and fun tour. Eric was so knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The family pride and history surrounding Braastad was evident. Loved the story that lead to the uniting of two families who had the same interest. Also, the mutual respect shared with the other Cognac makers within the same region was admirable. I would highly recommend this tour. The cognac tasting was fantastic! Eric was very generous. Do this! Great value for your euro.

Excellent tour very interesting well worth a visit. - We did a tour of the Braastad distillery in Jarnac France. It was an hour and half with a personal guide called Eric. This is a family run distillery and the processes from grape to table are all done here. So you get to see how the grapes are distilled stored and bottled all in the one place and people are involved in working at each part of the process. The distillery is amazing and the cask storage is worth seeing. There is even cognac stored since 1845. They have bottles going back since the distillery first started. The history is so interesting and the process fascinating. Our guide Eric was brilliant so informative and friendly he was happy to answer all our questions and made the place come alive for us. The tasting g at the end is great. You get to try the cognac and compare the different flavours. I would highly recommend this tour as an enjoyable interesting experience well with the time for a visit on your holiday.

The Secret Best Cognac Visit - We absolutely loved our very intimate (just the two of us and the guide) visit to Braastad! We learned the detailed process, saw every part of the operation, and tasted a variety of first-rate cognacs. Having done many wine and distilling tours, I strongly recommend a visit.
