Highlights
  • Kloster Eberbach - Your first stop at this 1000 years old Monastery, the ‘Cradle of Riesling’, will set the historic and cultural background for our wine experience. We will explore the historic buildings with a focus on the monks contribution to the evolution of winemaking and we will taste 6 wines in the beautiful setting of the monastery’s tasting room.

  • Schloss Johannisberg - We will cruise past the impressive setting of Johannisberg Palace (and briefly stop if time allows).

  • Vinothek Rheinweinwelt Ruedesheim - Lunch and tasting at RheinWeinWelt.
Choose your lunch from a beautifully curated menu with locally sourced produce - freshly cooked, or go for one of the delicious cheese or charcuterie boards.
While we wait for our food to get ready, we explore the tasting room and willl sampe 5 wines from a selection of 80 winemakers, a representative selection of top estates of the Rhine River region. Tell us your preferences and we will show you the wines to go for.

  • Weingut Kaufmann - Tasting at a family run estate (Kaufmann, Ress or similarly high rated estate) - your flight of 6 wines will take you through the estate’s most representative wines: from Riesling to Pinots

Fantastic tour - highly recommend - Jérôme was a lovely and informative tour guide. The tour focused specifically on dry Riesling, taking us to three seperate stops. Jérôme was highly knowledgeable and able to answer any wine (or more broadly German) questions we had throughout the day. If you’re looking for a stress free, enjoyable and informative tour that introduces you to a range of wines and showcases some fantastic scenery, this is the tour for you. Would highly recommend.

Well worth it! - Ok I was a tiny bit skeptical that this tour would live up to the great reviews, but it did! Jerome was terrific - very patient with all of our questions - and the time flew by. The highlight was his guidance through a fun self-serve tasting shop with 70+ options. In contrast to the tastings we have experienced in the States where a vineyard offers several varietals, this was really a deep dive on dry rieslings which was very educational and interesting (and tasty) for us. Lunch was reasonable and really hit the spot. I also want to emphasize the overall value for money and convenience. We were on trains the rest of our trip but this was a day full of experiences we otherwise would not have had. Thanks Jerome!

5 stars for Rheingau with Jerome! - Wonderful day in Rheingau! Highly recommend. I was traveling solo and joined a small group of 6 other people on this tour. Jerome is very passionate and full of knowledge on German wine. We had 3 wine stops and they all offered different varietals and a good sampling of German wine. Our menu options for lunch were also very delicious and Jerome even provided breakfast croissants as an added bonus after our first stop. I think this tour was fun, educational and a good value. Can't go wrong!

Terrific tour in wine country! - Had a great outing w/ Jerome and some fellow travelers! Jerome was super friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. We went to 3 different spots which was a great contrast. Esp liked the monastery and the grounds. I wouldn't have minded exploring a bit on my own. The wines were delightful on a hot summer day. Especially enjoyed the dry sparkling riesling! The tour was a swell way to see the area and get acquainted with the wine region. Plus, the other group participants were terrific company!

Great tour and super value - Excellent tour. Very knowledgeable tour guide Jerome takes you to a monestary famous for winemaking and historical significance, a great lunch place and a modern vineyard. A total of 3 wine tastings included, about 15 different wines, including high quality ones. Highly recommended and well worth the money

Excellent trip managed by a perfect host - What a fantastic tour. We were met promptly by Jerome, an absolute gentleman, at the meeting point. Immaculate and very comfortable luxury vehicle. Spent a wonderful day visiting the Rheingau, castles, abbeys and several wine tastings, what's not to love. Very interesting and informative as Jerome has a real passion and knowledge, both about his country and wine. We have travelled on many wine tours and this was the best, would thoroughly recommend.
