Highlights
  • Red Square (Dutch Square) - Meet your chauffeur and guide at the Malacca cruise port (Parameswara Jetty) for a 4-6 hour Malacca Shore Excursion.

The itinerary will be customized to fit the available time. Ideally, we will return to the port 45 minutes before the cruise departs.

Experience a traditional trishaw ride or a river cruise.

Visit the Dutch Square complex (known as the Red Square) which includes Christ Church, Stadhuys, Victoria Fountain, and the Clock Tower.

  • St. Paul’s Hill & Church (Bukit St. Paul) - Explore the ruins of St. Paul’s Church, located atop a hill with views of the Straits of Malacca, the old city, and the ship Flor de la Mar.

  • A Famosa Fort - See Porta de Santiago, the only remaining structure of the Portuguese fort that was not destroyed by the British.

Stand on the very street where the news of the country’s independence was first announced!

  • Jonker Street - Discover the old Malacca quarters at Jonker, Heeren, and Temple Street, known for their period houses, dying trades, and a blend of multicultural society through worship houses like Cheng Hoon Teng, Kampung Kling Mosque, and Sri Poyatha Vinayagar Moorthy Temple.

  • Cheng Hoon Teng Temple - Cheng Hoon Teng Temple is one of the finest Chinese temples in Malaysia, recognized by an UNESCO award for outstanding architectural restoration. It is central to the spiritual aspirations of the Chinese community in historic Malacca.

  • Kampung Kling Mosque - Located in the historic center of Malacca, Kampung Kling Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Malaysia, known for its distinctive architectural features.

  • Sri Poyatha Vinayagar Moorthy Temple - This is the oldest Hindu temple in Malaysia and one of the oldest functioning Hindu temples in Maritime Southeast Asia. It is one of the few existing Chitty temples in Malaysia.

  • Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum - Housed in a preserved two-story Peranakan mansion built in 1861 for the wealthy Chan family, this museum showcases the lavish lifestyle of the Baba-Nyonya community.

Baba Nyonya Lunch: (During the Tour)

Nyonya food is a mixture of Chinese and Malay flavors, with a distinct taste of its own.

Note:

As most of the sights are within walking distance, the tour may take longer if it rains. (All sights are within 500 meters of each other with plenty to see in between.)

WHAT’S EXTRA

The basic tour/walk does not incur additional costs unless you opt for extra activities such as visiting various museums, a river cruise (about 40 minutes), duck tours, or a 360-degree view of Malacca from 110 meters above ground!

Great experience - Great guide. Friendly informative listened to our wishes and answered all questions. The lunch was delicious and my husband was very hot from the heat, and he took us to a great store, where we got a lightweight shirt for him, and it made all the difference in our enjoyment.
