- Ħondoq Cave - The tour typically starts with a brief paddle along the Gozo coastline to get accustomed to the kayaks before crossing the Gozo Channel to Comino. The crossing takes about 20 minutes and is approximately 800 meters at its narrowest point, marking the start of the adventure!
- Blue Lagoon - There are two main Comino routes, chosen based on weather and water traffic. The first option begins at the stunning Blue Lagoon side of Comino, continuing east towards the Santa Maria side. Alternatively, the route can be reversed, ending at the Blue Lagoon. Visits to popular tourist sites are timed for quieter periods. The total time on the water is about 2.5 hours, passing by or entering numerous beautiful caves, bays, and rock formations. It’s fantastic! A 30-minute break is taken, sometimes in or near the Blue Lagoon if it’s not too crowded, or in a serene bay to enjoy nature. During the break, swimming, exploring, or relaxing is encouraged. If kayaking into the Blue Lagoon isn’t possible due to weather, winds, or crowds, efforts will be made to land nearby for exploration on foot.
- Santa Marija Bay - If the tour focuses on the eastern side of Comino, an Instagram-worthy archway and tunnel, along with ancient rock formations, are explored. It’s breathtaking! A 30-minute break is usually taken at Santa Marija Bay, Urchins Bay, or Daħlet il-Ħmara, allowing time for swimming, exploring, or relaxing.
- San Niklaw Bay - Around the corner from San Niklaw Bay is a favorite swimming spot, a hidden gorge accessible only by water. Known as Urchin’s Bay, it is rich in marine life!
- St. Anthony’s Battery - At either the start or end of the tour, enjoy the beauty of Qala Rock (Il-Ä ebla tal-Ħalfa), learn about Dragut the pirate lord, admire stunning views of St Anthony’s Battery, and see a 700-year-old hermit hut! The area is geologically significant, with salt pans dating back to Roman times.
Please note that all tours are weather-dependent, and not all areas may be accessible. Comino tours may not always be possible due to winds or other factors, and locations may change. Notifications will be sent before the tour, so please check messages and feel free to contact us with any questions.
