Highlights
  • Hondoq Bay - This is our usual starting point for the Comino tour. Please note that it may change due to weather or other factors. Please read your messages before the tour and contact us if in doubt.

Here, we will set you up with the equipment and make sure you are comfortable in your kayak. You’ll meet your guide and do a safety briefing. Then we set you on your way!

  • Gozo Channel - We generally start with a short paddle along the Gozo coastline to get comfortable in our kayaks before our journey takes us across the Gozo Channel to Comino! The crossing usually takes about 20min and is approx. 800m at the narrowest point. This is where the adventure really gets started!
  • Blue Lagoon - We have two basic Comino routes and on the half-day tours we choose one of them based on the weather conditions and busyness on the water! The first option is on the beautiful Blue Lagoon side of Comino. We spend about 2.5 hours out on the water in total, and in that time, we pass by/enter a number of gorgeous caves and bays. It’s awesome! For the break of about 30 minutes, we stop in or nearby the Blue Lagoon. In this time you can swim, explore or just relax if you would like. If we cannot land nearby we will be sure to kayak into the first part of the Blue Lagoon so you can enjoy it from the water!
  • Santa Marija Bay - The second option is on the fantastic Santa Marija Caves side of Comino. We pass by and explore a number of gorgeous and some enormous caves, check out an Instagram-worthy archway and a tunnel as well as millennia-old rock formations. It is breathtaking! For the break of about 30 minutes, we generally stop off at the Santa Marija Bay, Urchins Bay or Daćlet il-Ħmara. In this time you can swim, explore or just relax. Please note that this is an unguided part of the tour.
  • San Niklaw Bay - Hidden around the corner from San Niklaw Bay is our favourite swimming spot. It is a hidden gorge only easily accessible by water. We lovingly refer to it as Urchin’s Bay and it contains a wealth of marine life!
  • Santa Maria Caves - The Santa Maria Caves are found in the tall cliffs nestling on the east coast of Comino. Your tour will include the infamous Smuggler’s Cave and others!

Please understand that all our tours are weather-dependent and not all areas may be accessible. Also, the Comino tours are not always possible due to winds or other factors. The tours are subject to a location change. If so, we will notify you before the tour, so always check your messages and feel free to contact us if you are in doubt.

Best day kayaking - What a fun day to be had! From the start the staff made me feel welcome and safe and ready to face the prospect of paddling across the open sea despite the fact that I’m a weak swimmer and also anti-bouyant so I don’t float. Can’t shout enough about the instructor of the day Uisce….pronounced Ishka apparently Gaelic for water…made the whole experience, fun, invigorating and an achievable challenge…well done team

Holiday highlight - I had booked a kayak tour but unfortunately got sick. The staff at Kayak Gozo were kind enough to suggest several alternatives. Because of the high waves, I ended up doing a hiking tour, which was very well organized. I would book a tour with Kayak Gozo again at any time.

Great experience and great fun - Amazing trip out on the kayaks. We paddled through a number of caves, stopped off at an idyllic location for a break away from the majority of the crowds, and our guide Laura was fantastic, sharing lots of local knowledge and making the trip good fun.

Great kayaking experience - The tour was a great mix of different activities. During the kayaking in the sea we took went into two small caves, and we had a couple breaks where people could swim, cliff jump, or snorkel.

Kayaking plus some hidden wonders - This is way more than a trip to the blue lagoon! Angela and her team are great guides to the lagoon, but also myriad hidden bays, caves and beaches. We had some snorkel time in addition to made to measure itinerary punctuated by little surprises brought about by our great guide. This will be a long lasting memory for all the good reasons! I also appreciated the top notch service and professionalism. Being a solo traveller has been no issue whatsoever. Thank you Angela and team!
