Fantastic tour! - The tour was excellent! My guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable; his English was excellent; and he seemed to know most of the people we encountered along the way. He was able to describe parts of the city that we did not have time to stop in. I could not have gotten a better feeling for the city, its heritage, and its evolving future.

Trustworthy and Kind - Maher is the most pleasant, educational, and polite gentleman. He gave us an exceptional tour of Bahrain. He arrived at exactly the time he said, sent us a pic so we would recognize him, and had a nice car to drive us around the city. He was worth every penny and probably should be charging more. His English is perfect. He is a retired educator and shows in his passion to teach. He helped us practice our Arabic on him and even helped us negotiate good prices in the market when we asked him to help us find a few things we wanted. He even hooked us up with a friend of his for a tour Kuwait when we told him we were in need. That one was just as good.

Great and Very Informative - Maher is an excellent local guide. He picked us up at our hotel on time. He took us to the spectacular sights for photo ops. He was very patient when we got a little bit delayed at a shop in the Souk. We admire his enthusiasm in explaining about the history of Bahrain at the museum. Also, he has packed chilled water and some snacks for us. Shukran. Highly recommended!!!

Intense and Highly Informative Tour with Maher - Our tour guide, Maher, picked us up at our hotel and took us first to see the Al-Fateh Grand Mosque. Different from most mosques, you are encouraged to see the inside. As non-muslims we were asked to join a group of other non-muslims to get an short but insightful overview of Islam, the prayer times, the prayer, and the rituals before we get free time to take photos of this magnificent Mosque. All women had to wear the abaya throughout the visit, loaned for free by the mosque. The Mosque is an absolute must-visit regardless of your beliefs. From the Mosque we went to the National Museum of Bahrain which exhibit both the pre-historic and history of Bahrain. Our guide, Maher, guided us around to make sure we cover all parts of the museum and his knowledge of both the history and the exhibits was impressive. The Museum is well-designed and has lots of surprising exhibits. Next, he took us to a photo spot to take pictures of the skyline of Bahrain. From there to the Souq Bab Al-Bahrain that was worth the visit. the Souq (Market) offers everything, from spices to luxury carpets and everything in between. We were even able to buy some Bahrain souvenirs and tasted some local sweets. Finally, we visited the Qal-at al-Bahrain or Bahrain Fort. This historical site is surprisingly well-preserved and well-maintained. Lots of walking and going up and down, but worth the efforts. The Fort is also a great place to take photos of Bahrain's skyline. This tour is highly recommended. if you are lucky, you get Maher as your guide, who is also excellent at taking your photos.
