Lifting the lid on what's cooking in Bahrain. - Khalid was a very engaging guide who knows his subject. We felt immersed in Bahraini culture and enjoyed visiting local shops. It was good to learn something of Bahrain's history and society. It was a relief that the delicious drinks and dishes we sampled were very manageable portions.

Must Try? Definitely!!! - This was a wonderful way to get to know Bahrain, the food and a little more about the history, culture and language. My only regret was that we did not do it when we first arrived. I would have revisited some of the places we were taken to and been much more confident trying out new foods. Highly recommended experience! Yusuf was fun, articulate and enthusiastic, we loved it!

Possibly the best food tour I’ve ever done — and I’ve done 30+! - I have to be honest, I wasn't expecting a lot from little Bahrain. And, having just a few hours to see the country, I was expecting even less from my visit. But not to worry, Yusuf, the charming, funny and thoughtful operator of this tour (whose English is at native level) had planned our tour methodically, with great care, passion and sensibility towards his guests. So much so that this was one of the best food tours I have ever been on - and that is saying something as I've eaten my way through at least thirty of them all over the world. What really made me smile was that, at the beginning of the tour, two other 'guests' turned up, yet I sensed they knew Yusuf. Indeed, when I asked, he admitted as much; that they, despite being Bahraini themselves, were joining the food tour so as to see another perspective on their country. After a while it became clear to me that I was the only 'real' guest on the tour and they were all there to somehow keep me company, eat with me, and partake in making me feel welcome as a solo traveller. I thought this was so kind, and I had great fun with this friendly, outgoing group of Bahrainis. The food and drinks along the way were excellent. Some, such as a breakfast (and particularly Eid) dish of sweet vermicelli with egg, as well as palm water, were completely novel to me - and there is nothing better than experiencing something new. I also very much liked that Yusuf chose a puri stop on the route, so as to celebrate the large community of Indians who have made his country home. Yusuf was also ably assisted by Sharifa, who is likewise a charming guide and full of interesting knowledge and facts about her country. Thank you both for welcoming me so very well on this tour and managing to feed me such a hearty slice of your country in such little time.

Amazon experience - I had such a great time, it felt like walking around and eating at the souk with a friend The food was delicious and I got to taste many different dishes. I loved it ! Thanks Yusuf, I learned so many things about Bahreïn and it's traditions. I highly recommend this tour. This is a unique and mandatory experience while visiting Manama!

A Journey Through Bahrain’s Flavors with Pink Alien – A Must-Do Tour! - If you’re visiting Bahrain, do yourself a favor and book the Bahraini Food Tour with Pink Alien, led by Yusuf! This tour was nothing short of spectacular. Yusuf took me through the quaint and historical restaurants near the Souq, each offering mouthwatering flavors and rich food history that truly capture the essence of Bahrain. What makes this tour stand out is Yusuf’s incredible knowledge and passion. As the founder of Pink Alien, he’s crafted an experience that combines delicious food with engaging stories. Every dish came with a history lesson, making the entire tour a cultural deep dive as much as a food adventure. Yusuf was an amazing guide, and we had the best conversations. His warmth and expertise made the tour unforgettable. This is an experience I’d highly recommend to anyone, especially food lovers, history buffs, or just curious travelers. Thank you, Pink Alien, and Yusuf for a truly memorable day!

Highly recommend - Our guide was really friendly and knowledgable. The food we tried was amazing and in places that we would not have gone had it not been for the tour. A great way to explore traditional food and try something you haven’t before.

They Were Right: It’s a MUST! - Highly recommend! Abbas is amazing! Very knowledgeable and kind. We did the 10 am tour, and when we come back we have already decided we will do the evening tour and be requesting him. Food was great, the tour was great, everything was seriously amazing!

Good food tour but can be better - I happened to be the only person in the tour group, plus the guide. Food choices were good, guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. However, there were less dishes than I thought or than in the posted pictures.
