Super nice - An excellent experience, I had a wonderful time and I want to highlight the good attention of the clerks at snack 2 on the night shift Janeisy and Ivis for their good treatment and customer service, one of the best stays I have had, I recommend it for its incredible customer service, I feel satisfied with my stay

Would recommend - I went on this trip solo and was paired with a few people in a jeep (as expected). I can't speak for the entire fleet, but my driver Adaniel was SUPERB. He is Wayuu and was able to teach us more about his upbringing and culture which was the main thing I wanted to gain from this trip. Without him it would have been just a trip in the desert as there's no real culturally-focused stops throughout the 3 days... Whoever I was speaking to at Waleker was helpful and available via WhatsApp to answer questions I had during the trip (in English).

Operator's logistic pity - Very bad logistics. The geographically cute place but not well neither transport nor the feeding place as well as the place of accommodation. But it's because of the tour operator, Castle Tours because there we saw very good, nice, welcoming places for the same price

Great place, not a great tour - First of all, the scenery is beautiful and I enjoyed seeing the landscapes. However, this was not a good tour for me. I was in a car with people from other tour agencies - in itself not a problem. However, the others paid literally half the price that I did, and we had an identical tour: same food, same activities, same accommodation. There was no guide. We had a driver who occasionally mumbled his answers to questions, but never volunteered information. Also entirely in Spanish, and the “written English” option gives you little useful information. I can more or less speak Spanish, so that’s okay, but it was a challenge to hear over the loud music. Our car broke down on the last day, which I think we all saw coming because it never took less than 2 tries to start. It just wasn’t in good condition. They worked hard to fix it and we returned in the car on the correct day. The activities are not as advertised: there was no talking to the Wayuu people. We just went from beach to beach. The views were spectacular, so I enjoyed that, but we were simply dropped off for 2 hours at a time. Finally, if you go, they’ll tell you to buy sweets for the kids in Alta Guajira. This is undersold - you need to buy bread/water/coffee as well, or they don’t let you through. We didn’t realise the extent of it. This is not specific to this tour at all - just a feature of the area. Overall, Alta Guajira is worth visiting. If you want to do this trip, then arrive in Riohacha a day early and visit the local travel agencies and save yourself the extra money. You don’t get anything from booking with this tour online.

The desert was beautiful but the “guide” disappointed - No guide was provided for the tour just a driver who barely spoke and was and appeared fed up the whole time and provided no information about what was going on, where we were going or any cultural information about the area or places we visited. I was English understanding some but limited Spanish and the driver was aware of this yet would angrily speak to me and be annoyed that I did not understand his fast and mumbled speaking that even Spanish speakers who were also in my tour struggled to understand. He would regularly stop the car during driving leave the truck for several minutes and return with none of us knowing why this was the case. I was also told I would be provided written English during the tour but this did not materialise. We were explained about the people/ children road blocks and he would pick and chose who got what food like it was favouritism and on the way back he would drive through the road blocks even though we had plenty of food we supplied left in the bag. This was horrible for us in the car to witness. This bag of food then disappeared before the end of the tour identifying that he was himself using the leftover food for his own purpose. Extremely unsatisfactory tour, would have been better off just going on my own would have learnt the same (nothing) and be $300 better off! Not worth the money even slightly. Would definitely like a refund.
