Start of the Adventure

Meeting of Waters - The adventure kicks off with a pickup in Manaus, heading to Ceasa Port to board a speedboat. The first stop is along the Rio Negro River at the Meeting of the Waters. The journey continues with a 1-hour car ride to the quaint village of Cachoeira do Castanho. From there, a speedboat ride of 20 to 30 minutes (depending on water levels) takes you to Jacareubau Creek. Here, you’ll enjoy a floating deck experience, interacting with the river dolphins. The trip proceeds by boat to the opposite riverbank to visit the Tatuyos indigenous village, where you’ll participate in a traditional welcome dance and learn about their culture. The journey continues up the Rio Negro for about an hour to the Lodge. Upon arrival at 12:30 pm, guests are greeted with refreshments as accommodations are prepared.

Tapiri Lodge - Lunch is served at noon, followed by some relaxation time to prepare for the day’s activities. At 3:30 pm, the group departs by motorized canoe to fish for piranhas, observe colorful birds, and enjoy a stunning sunset from the river’s center. Upon returning to the lodge, dinner is served at 7:00 pm.

Jungle Expedition

Novo Airao - Breakfast is served at 7:00 am at the lodge. From 8:00 am to 11:30 am, guests will trek through the jungle. The guide will share insights about medicinal plants and the insects and spiders inhabiting the area. At noon, the group returns to the lodge for lunch. At 3:00 pm, the group visits the Anavilhanas archipelago by boat, exploring the area for wildlife (from February to August) and continuing the journey on foot during the dry season. On the return to the lodge, there will be a stop to witness the sunset. Afterward, dinner is served at the lodge. Post-dinner, the group departs by motorized canoe to search for the elusive Cayman. The jungle guide will capture one for a close-up view before safely releasing it back into its natural habitat.

Jungle Expedition

Arquipelago de Anavilhanas - After breakfast (8 am-11 am), the group visits the local community to learn about their culture and life along the Negro River. There is an opportunity to purchase handcrafted items made by locals using natural materials from the Amazon Jungle. The group returns to the lodge for lunch.

Post-lunch, the group embarks on a boat trip to explore small creeks and channels to spot wildlife. There is an opportunity to swim in the river (during the dry season, many beaches are available for swimming). The group then returns to the lodge.

Jungle Expedition

Arquipelago de Anavilhanas - From 5:30 am to 6:30 am, guests board a small canoe to experience the awakening of nature as the day begins, with the silence gradually broken by songbirds and other creatures. Breakfast is served at 7:30 am, and at 8:00 am, the group departs by boat to visit one of the Anavilhanas archipelago’s base controls. The guide will explain the preservation efforts to protect the area and its flora and fauna. There is also an opportunity to see some Caiman in the region. The group returns to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch, the group sets out for a camping experience in the jungle, traveling by boat to the campsite where hammocks with mosquito nets are set up. Dinner is prepared over a fire, and the night is spent in the jungle.

Jungle Expedition

Novo Airao - A wake-up call at 6:00 am signals the return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast at 8:00 am, the journey back to Manaus begins, with an estimated arrival time of 11:00 am. The tour concludes at either the hotel or the airport.
